Editorial

Welcome to the spring/summer 2006 edition of Geomantica,

Yes, sorry, but I have to call it a double issue, as a 3 month lecture tour away from the office has got me 'out of sync'. Great inspiration was had from my lecture tour travelling in five states of Australia, then Ireland, England and Scotland. But you will have to wait until future editions to hear much about that (apart from my visit to the Weeping Madonna).

This issue is full of fabulous articles nonetheless. Many thanks go out to all the great contributors!

Just when we thought things were really dry in Australia, the drought is kicking in harder still. It's now the worst in a 100 years and elsewhere in the world is suffering reduced rainfall too. September in Victoria was the driest ever, with virtually no rain, after ten years of below average rainfall. It also only rained for a couple of days during the whole of September while I was in the British Isles. Not that I complained about the relentless warm sunshine...

Fortunately for the little farm here my permaculture plantings have all been of drought tolerant species and they are mostly doing ok, apart from those killed by the many extreme frosts (and followed up by a 35C heatwave day!). Global warming? Droughts are normal in Australia, but we've ascecebated the problem...

I hope that the water company that insisted on installing sewerage schemes in several towns in my area are now all red faced. What happens when there's no water to flush everyone's toilets? Reservoirs are down to a puddle already and the usually dry summer isn't even here yet. Several years ago enlightened local people campaigned hard for alternatives, such as dry composting toilets. But the dinosaur engineering solutions prevailed and the sewers went in...

It's time everyone adopted the principles and ethics of permaculture, if we want to survive in this dry country. The serious drought affecting most of Australia is a big WAKE UP call...

One of the talks I gave on my trip was 'A Holistic Look at Water' (at several venues), as this is the International Year of Water and it's such an important issue anyhow. Water diviners are in big demand currently. When I was at their annual congress recently, the British Society of Dowsers urged more people to offer their services in water divining, as their is a big unmet demand over there.

For those of you who may think that tapping into underground water supplies may be unethical, be aware that Australians rely on rivers for 90% of their water. Is that ethical, when the rivers are drying up into chains of ponds?

In my film 'The Sacred Nature of Water' South Australian dowser Fred Keen describes his brand of 'spiritual water divining' and tells us how he factors ethics into his dowsing search process when seeking underground water supplies. But you'll have to get a copy of the film to find out more...

I have been trying to organise an 'Alternative Water Summit' for July 2007, but I can't say yet whether any will be happening unless more support is obtained.

My final watery offering this year is a song. It has been sung as an honouring to the spirit of water at several water workshops recently. It only feels appropriate to sing it next to a water body.

Oh, and I'm pleased to announce something else new: Geomantica's 'Touching the Earth' Summer School, being monthly weekends held this summer, where we will connect to the energies of landscape and honour nature. We'll explore the magic of place - at the sacred precinct of Mucklestone, and beyond, at power centres of central Victoria. There will be free camping, so you just need a tent... See you here!

Until the March issue,

Peace and bright blessings

Mobile Phones - good for cooking!?

Vladimir Lagovski and Andrei Moiseynko from Komsomolskaya Pravda Newspaper in Moscow decided to learn first-hand how harmful cell phones are. The journalists created a simple microwave cooking structure, with an egg in a porcelain cup (because it conducts heat easily) placed between two cell phones. They called from one cell phone to the other and left both phones on talking mode. They placed a tape recorder next to phones to imitate sounds of speaking so the phones would stay on.

After 15 minutes: The egg became slightly warm.

25 minutes: The egg became very warm.

40 minutes: The egg became very hot.

65 minutes: The egg was cooked.

Breast cancer Epidemic at High Tech Workplace

The ABC has requested health authorities review their decision to clear its Toowong, Brisbane bureau of any link to a series of breast cancer cases. Nine women have developed breast cancer in 11 years.

"We know of 11 cases diagnosed over the entire Toowong site," ABC state editor Fiona Crawford. told AAP.

This includes five women who work in the newsroom, amidst a total ABC staff of 250 at Toowong.

ABC staff in Brisbane are considering industrial action and some want to be moved off the Toowong site.
Queensland Health has already scientifically tested and cleared the site of any known or probable factors that could cause cancer. But the ABC's new managing director, Mark Scott, says that will be revisited.

4G is worse than ever

The next generation of mobile phone technology - '4G', offering ever higher speeds of inernet connection - is about to be rolled out in Australia, and expected to be in full operation by 2010.

When a 4G base station was installed in a Swedish town of Goten the local hospital emergency room was inundated with calls from locals complaining of a range of uncomfortable symptoms, which fit the description of 'microwave sickness'. When it was turned off or callers travelled away from town, symptoms disappeared.

With a range of up to 50km, one base station can blanket an entire region. Sensitive spots, such as schools and hospitals, will not be able to be avoided with this technology....

Kids as cancer candidates

Across Europe children are being turned into guinea pigs, as 70% aged 12-13 and 23% of 8-9 year olds now own mobile phones. What this will do to developing brains? It is already clear that long term use greatly increases risk of brain tumour etc. When will parents everywhere wake up and stop exposing their loved ones to this grave danger?

More RF in the Home

Australian electricity utilities, such as Energy Australia, are considering or preparing to install so-called 'smart' technology in the form of electricity meters that send information to and from the company's offices, such as meter readings. This means that radio-frequency signals will be superimposed on the 50Hz system, creating more radiation hazard in the home.

Ancient pyramid found in Mexico

Thursday, 6 April 2006

Archaeologists have discovered an ancient pyramid buried under a hill on the outskirts of Mexico City.

The pyramid is said to be 1,500 years old and was built by the same ancient people who constructed the Teotihuacan complex, known as the City of the Gods.

Parts of the structure have been badly damaged as the hill has been used for decades to stage re-enactments of the crucifixion of Christ during Holy Week, a religious celebration attended by as many as one million devotees.

Measuring 150m (492 feet) on each of its four sides, the 18-metre (59-foot) tall pyramid was carved out on a natural hillside around 500 AD.

Iztapalapa hillside, known as Hill of the Star, overlooks one of Mexico City's poorest and most dangerous neighbourhoods.

Local people began re-enacting the Passion of Christ there in 1833, to give thanks for divine protection during a cholera epidemic - a ritual which now draws as many as a million spectators every year.

The site will not be fully explored because it is now considered a religious centre in its own right, said Mr Sanchez of the National Institute of Anthropology and History.

"Both the pre-Hispanic structure and the Holy Week rituals are part of our cultural legacy, so we have to look for a way to protect both cultural values."

'Pyramids' discovered in Ukraine

BBC News, Kiev, Thursday, 7 September 2006, UK.

A team digging at a site near to the city of Luhansk in eastern Ukraine has unearthed a huge religious complex.

It is claimed that pyramids are buried underground and that they predate the pyramids in Egypt.

The archaeologists say that clay plates, weighing each at least two tonnes, were arranged in circles and plastered over.

Thornborough Henges
Ancient Ritual Centre in Yorkshire

Extracted from BBC Online

Monday, 2 May, 2005

Thought to have been a ceremonial meeting place, the Thornborough Henges are located near Ripon, North Yorkshire, in open countryside near the A1. Each of the three henges consists of circular earth banks and ditches.

The region has the greatest concentration of late Neolithic and early Bronze Age sites in the UK. It also boasts the country's largest quarrying operation on prehistoric land, Nosterfield Quarry, which produces more than 500,000 tonnes of sand and gravel each year.

Over 100 pagans joined a fight against proposals to extend quarrying close to the ancient earthworks. Druids met at the site for a Beltane ritual, a pagan celebration of spring, and they were joined by local archaeologists. The group claims the Henges are under threat from the quarrying.

The firm says it is not seeking to quarry on the earthworks.

US campaigners join henges battle

Thursday, 16 June, 2005, 08:59 GMT 09:59 UK

A New York-based conservation group has joined the battle to prevent further quarrying near Thornborough Henges. Local residents and the Landmarks Foundation said plans by Tarmac to extend its sand and gravel quarry would be a "tragedy" as it could destroy clues about why the 5,000-year-old earthworks were built.

The Landmarks Foundation has a mission to conserve sacred sites and landscapes around the world.

In a letter to the Yorkshire Post, Landmarks Foundation director Sam Green said: "Over the years we have successfully intervened and protected the great statues of Easter Island and other threatened sites in South and Central America, Bhutan, India and Turkey.

He described the Thornborough site as one of Britain's largest ritual gathering places from the Neolithic period.

Henges older than pyramids

Tuesday, 14 February 2006, 19:43 GMT

Researchers at Newcastle University have found that the Thornborough Henges are one of the earliest major monuments aligned to the constellation Orion.

The 5,500-year-old earthworks - almost 1,000 years older than the pyramids of Giza- and the Egyptian pyramids are thought to have been built to mirror Orion's belt for its religious focus.

The research will be published in 2007 in a new report on the henges complex. Senior lecturer at the university Dr Jan Harding said they used a three dimensional model to confirm the stellar alignments of the henges.

"Thornborough was a sacred landscape, a place of religious worship, and we should try to interpret these astronomical orientations within that context.

"This astronomical association was emphasised by the banks of the henges being coated in brilliant white gypsum."

Amazon 'Stonehenge' & the Bounty of Black Earth

Extracted from http://news.mongabay.com/2006/0514-amazon.html
May 14, 2006

Archaeologists with the Amapa Institute of Scientific and Technological Research say they have uncovered the ruins of an ancient astrological observatory near Calcoene, 390 kilometers (240 miles) from Macapa, the capital of Amapa state, near Brazil's border with French Guyana.

The observatory consists of 127 blocks of granite each three meters (10 feet) high, arranged upright and evenly spaced in circles in an open field. Ceramic fragments found nearby suggest that it is between 500 and 2,000 years old.

"Only a society with a complex culture could have built such a monument," said archaeologist Mariana Cabral.

Cabral said the site resembles a temple which could have been used as an observatory, because the blocks are positioned to mark the winter solstice. In December, the path of the sun allows rays to pass through a hole in one of the blocks, possibly to calculate agricultural activity and religious rituals."

Other evidence also suggests that the Amazon rainforest was once home to advanced cultures and large sedentary populations of people, most notably the human-enhanced floodplains in Bolivia, remnants of ancient towns and road systems and the presence of rich, apparently man-made soils.

The discovery of a network of villages and towns connected by precisely engineered roads -- some up to 45 meters (150 feet) wide -- shocked many Amazon researchers when a study was published in 2003.

The Indians centered their successful agriculture on the Amazon's unbelievably diverse assortment of perennial trees: fruits, nuts, and palms.

Black earth
The Amazon has a notorious reputation for thin and poor-quality soil, but soil known as 'terra preta' provided fabulous fertility for its inhabitants.

This unique, mineral-rich soil was purposely created by pre-Columbian people through a process of adding charcoal and animal bones to regular soil to create a highly fertile soil, ideal for agriculture.

Charcoal is the essential ingredient of terra preta, which gives the soil a more substantial quality as organic matter latches on to the compounds within it through oxidation, retaining moisture and nutrients. Despite these benefits, charcoal lacks substantial nutrients on its own, so Indians enriched the soil with organic waste like the bones of turtles, fish and birds. Higher quantities of calcium, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur exist more in terra preta than is found in typical earth. If managed well, this matter can avoid exhaustion from agricultural stress far longer than regular soil.

Scientists believe terra preta was created through a process one specialist calls the "slash-and-char" method. Essentially, instead of completely burning trees to ash, pre-Colombian farmers merely smoldered organic matter to form charcoal, and then stirred the charcoal into the soil. The added benefit of this method was that far less carbon was released into the air than now common slash-and-burn method. Carbon emissions, or rather an imbalance of carbon emissions, has a well-recognized negative effect on forests, so this ancient method was truly efficient and environmentally sensitive. Charcoal is capable of retaining its carbon in the soil for close to fifty thousand years.

Today, scientists and local inhabitants alike recognize the value and importance of terra preta. The earth is excavated and sold as potting soil known for its impressive productivity. Some individuals work it for years with only minimal fertilization required.

Mining the Dreamtime

Huge lead, zinc, and silver deposits lie beneath the McArthur River,
in the Northern Territory and to extract them the river is going to be diverted by three miles, as well as the courses of two connecting creeks altered.

The Yanyuwa and their neighbors, the Gudanji tribe, say the McArthur
River development is fraught with risk, including the danger of the
mine's dams being inundated by floodwaters, releasing toxic materials
into the environment.

During the annual wet season the McArthur becomes swollen with
monsoon rains and discharges into the sea a volume of water equal to
seven times the capacity of Sydney Harbor.

Another concern among the indigenous populations is a spiritual one.
The Gudanji believe the McArthur River is home to a giant "rainbow
serpent" from the Dreamtime. Upsetting the river serpent will bring storms,
cyclones, and other disasters, they claim.

"People believe that they'll slowly die if that rainbow serpent is
disturbed," says Fraser Baker, a Gudanji elder, also reached by
phone. "If you start messing with it, something bad is going to
happen. People think sickness will come down the river. Xstrata has
done nothing for our communities, and we don't want the mine to go
ahead."

"A river like this has never been diverted before in Australia," says
Stuart Blanch, of environmental group WWF-Australia. "It's a gamble,
an experiment without precedent. These tropical rivers are very
complex - it's not like building a cement canal to drain storm water
in a city."

Final approval for the mine has to be granted by the federal
government in Canberra. Prime Minister John Howard recently threw his
support behind the mine and said that it would create jobs. "It's in
the national interest that this country continues to be welcoming to
mining operations," he said.

After months of controversy, the firm Xstrata was granted permission
Friday by the Northern Territory government to go ahead with
the lead and zinc mine.

Ancient site uncovered near Melbourne

Builders are now constructing the Dandenong Southern Bypass through an
ancient Aboriginal site. The site in Dandenong South (near Melbourne, Victoria)
has had sand tested at 35,000 years old with artefacts estimated to be about
17,000 years old.
A spokesman for Thiess John Holland said Dandenong Southern Bypass
works would continue as scheduled while Latrobe University archaeologists
and local Aboriginal groups moved artefacts safely from the site. Works had
already begun, he said, at the northern part of the Dandenong South site
"following consent from the Wurundjeri Land Council, which is the legally
appointed Aboriginal representative group for the area." The spokesman said
two-thirds of the site would remain untouched by the works.

Bloodline of the Celts

A team from Oxford University has discovered that the Celts, Britain's indigenous people, are descended from a tribe of Iberian fishermen who crossed the Bay of Biscay 6,000 years ago. DNA analysis reveals they have an almost identical genetic "fingerprint" to the inhabitants of coastal regions of Spain, whose own ancestors migrated north between 4,000 and 5,000BC.

People of Celtic ancestry were thought to have descended from tribes of central Europe. Professor Sykes: "About 6,000 years ago Iberians developed ocean-going boats that enabled them to push up the Channel. Before they arrived, there were some human inhabitants of Britain but only a few thousand in number. These people were later subsumed into a larger Celtic tribe... The majority of people in the British Isles are actually descended from the Spanish."

Professor Sykes spent five years taking DNA samples from 10,000 volunteers in Britain and Ireland, in an effort to produce a map of Britain's genetic roots. Research on their "Y" chromosome, which subjects inherit from their fathers, revealed that all but a tiny percentage of the volunteers were originally descended from one of six clans who arrived in the UK in several waves of immigration prior to the Norman conquest.

The most common genetic fingerprint belongs to the Celtic clan, which Professor Sykes has called "Oisin". After that, the next most widespread originally belonged to tribes of Danish and Norse Vikings. Small numbers of today's Britons are also descended from north African, Middle Eastern and Roman clans.

These DNA "fingerprints" have enabled Professor Sykes to create the first genetic maps of the British Isles, which are analysed in 'Blood of the Isles', a book published this week (September 2006). The maps show that Celts are most dominant in areas of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. But, contrary to popular myth, the Celtic clan is also strongly represented elsewhere in the British Isles.

Planet Saver Tips

Well no individual has written in with any tips, so I assume everyone knows everything about sustainable living? Meanwhile - here's a few tips for our politicians from

www.getup.org.au/campaign/ClimateActionNow

"With all the gas being emitted from our politicians, it's going to become harder to sort the real solutions from the spin. So GetUp has gone straight to the leading environmental policy experts in the country - from Greenpeace to the Climate Institute and the Australian Business Roundtable on Climate Change - for their blueprint for tackling the climate crisis. Here's what they agree we need to do:

1) Legislate aggressively to reduce the level of greenhouse gas emissions. In California, Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has announced targets of 80 per cent emissions reductions by 2050. Meanwhile Australia's emissions have increased 10 per cent in the last decade, and are set to rise by an additional 17 per cent by 2020.

2) Establish economic incentives to reduce pollution and encourage energy efficiency and innovation. From abundant sun to wind and even geo-thermal power, Australia has enormous potential to reduce our dependence on polluting fossil fuels. But until we take into account the true cost of pollution and price carbon appropriately, clean energy just won't make sense to industry's bottom line.

3) Be part of the global solution by signing the Kyoto Protocol, the only international treaty that addresses climate change. Signing Kyoto immediately gives us access to an annual global carbon trading market forecast to be worth $2.6 trillion by 2012, and makes the transition to a carbon-constrained world far easier on Australia's economy than going it alone.

4) Meet our energy needs from clean and renewable sources. We need clear, binding targets to drive renewable energy to at least 20 per cent of our total energy use by 2020 and 30 per cent by 2030. The global clean energy market was worth $74 billion last year, while the proportion of electricity Australians receive from renewable energy is in decline.

5) Kick the coal addiction, and provide a just transition for miners and their communities. We cannot keep investing in polluting, limited sources of energy and hope technology provides the 'silver bullet' solution in another decade to come.

It may be inconvenient, but politicians from every level of government must deliver us a believable, clear and realistic plan to significantly reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and stop climate change. Join the movement - and the experts. Get on the Climate Action Map now to demand the real deal."

Song of the Waters Ways

Beautiful falling rain

Soak into soil again

I am your loving friend

Remember to come again.

Beautiful billabongs

Girded by cumbungi

You are the kidneys of the land,

Your strings of green pearls -

Wombs of diversity.

Beautiful sparkling springs

Your bubbling laughter sings

Flow into rivers meandering

And take you my heart within.

Beautiful deltas wide

Where waterspouts swell and rise

And whirlpools spin me anew

I'm spindrift in endless blue.

Beautiful oceans great

Moon and waves - your heartbeat

On tides of creation I glide

And delve the depths of inside.

Beautiful seas within

Wise waters so nourishing

On waves of emotion I ride

And dolphins play there inside.

FEATURE ARTICLES

AUSTRALIAN CROP CIRCLES SURPRISE

© Richard Giles, April 2004

I was delighted when Richard offered this article, which was previously published in a UFO magazine. We discussed the significance of the crop circle sightings at a workshop that I held last winter at Crystal Waters community in s-e Queensland, where Richard lives. It seeemed significant that both sets of circles were made close to the headwaters of the Mary River, which may be dammed in the near future. Are they a cry for help perhaps?.... Editor.

From time to time sets of crop circles have appeared in the Australian landscape and surprised local media or UFO groups and researchers. A number of reports over the last few decades have placed circles in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.

Perhaps the most famous were the Tully "flying saucer nests" of 1966 when a local farmer reported that he had found circle-like indentations near his cane fields in reed beds up in north Queensland. This find was accompanied by a very suitable media 'hoo ha' at the time, with accusations of nutters, freaks and fakes.

Other reports of circles were in wheat fields in rural Victoria and South Australia. The best known one in South Australia was reported by an airline passenger in the mid 1990s who first spotted it from the air in CSIRO experimental grain plots right near Adelaide city.

Little has been reported in Queensland until recently. Then late Sunday 28th March, two local boys Eli Colbran and Tom Braby were riding their bikes alongside a local property by Aherns Road at Conondale (near Maleny on the Sunshine Coast) and spotted a pattern in the pasture grasses. One recognised it from his memory of the UK phenomena as a typical crop circle design. They were just metres from Aherns Road but in that position, the land being raised above the road, they would normally never have been seen. There were four circles in all.

One cycled home to get his father who reported it to a local UFO researcher and just after sundown two local researchers with torches were combing through the grass. They took a series of flash photos and went home determined to arrive back at first light to search on Monday morning. Photos they took that night contained some intriguing images only discovered days later on the developed positives.

The patterns of the four circular flattened areas were spread over a distance of 24 metres. The first circle was 3.8 metres in circumference, the second 7.9 metres, the third 1.5 and the last 0.85 metres. They were on a close North-South axis with small variations in the centres, each circle being slightly off centre from the next. They all had neat clockwise swirl patterns and and contained grasses laid down in a classic unbroken pattern. The line of the four was arranged to point at exactly 20 degrees East of magnetic North.

Each circle had classic centres with the grass formed into a cone in the middle, again slightly off centre. In the centres each seemed to have a very tiny raised mound of earth underneath according to Kate Dash of Montville. Kate has travelled to England a number of times to visit UK circles and attend UK circle conferences.

The grass was mixed pasture grasses. The seed heads were intact and according to local photographer and researcher Christopher White, "It doesn't appear as though it could have been trampled or squashed down. That would have broken off the seed heads".

The smoothness of the layered lines of grass within the circles were beautifully laid and interwoven. Nothing in the circles showed broken or battered stems as you would find when they are done with human intervention.

Due to job commitments I was only able to visit the site on Wednesday afternoon 31st March. The circles were still reasonably intact but grass stems were beginning to rise and the surrounding area had been trampled by dozens of visitors over the previous two and a half days. The site still had a certain energy quality to it, but Kate Dash had told me nothing compared to the pristine energies on site on the Monday morning they first arrived.

Locals speculated that there may be some meaning to the pattern of four circles and their relative sizes may contain some meaning as yet to be deciphered. A geometric representation is enclosed here (see picture). The medium size came first then a very large circle followed by the two much smaller ones at the northern end of the axis.

Two local residents living within a kilometre (two thirds of a mile) of the site who spoke to Christopher and Kate reported seeing bright blue flashes of light at about 11 or 12 midnight on Saturday and another spoke of a strange musical note they heard around midnight. Others told me of strange lights they had seen at night around the Conondales valley over the last few years. One women told of a spectacular aerial light display she and her girlfriend saw late one night several years back. The valley does seem to have a history of unusual lights.

In that vein, two photos taken on the Sunday night show light anomalies in the frames. Neither lights were visible when Christopher White took the photos. One photo shows a single light hovering above the ground with a slight double image. The other shows a light which appears to be moving fast as there are five multiple images of the light overlapping each other. To do this it must have been moving incredibly quickly to be caught in a flash photo. Both lights are in the immediate foreground of the shots. Having seen both video and still footage of the lights caught in UK circles, to my eyes these look very similar.

This multiple formation is the first apparently genuine crop circle ever to be reported in southern Queensland. Kate Dash feels that it could be the forerunner of things to come that could surprise us all.

Meanwhile local farmer Doug Sands, on whose property they appeared, maintains that they were formed by wind whirlies which he says happen all the time on his place. If he has seen these and similar circles in the past it looks like his winds are mighty fine draughtsmen to arrange such beautiful and intricately woven patterns. Unfortunately he ploughed them in one week later.

We do look forward to more of the same in the future.

CROP CIRCLES IN CONONDALE, QUEENSLAND - March 2006

©
Richard Giles.

The appearance of circular patterns in the fields across the world (most of these have been in the UK) since the late 1980s has baffled many in scientific circles and in the media. Though these circles have been reported from time to time in the previous century nothing like that parade that's appeared since 1990 has happened before.

The early circles appeared in all sorts of crops in the English fields and were originally in the form of simple circles and groups of round shapes. In the early 90s they began to become more elaborate and by late 1990s all sorts of amazing shapes had appeared including a Mandelbrot set (complex mathematical shape), mirror images, optical illusions or tricks, Mayan symbols and even two faces appeared over the last 6 years (see example).

Numbers of people have surfaced in England who claimed to make all the circles at night by themselves. The most famous case is of the Doug and Dave pair who claimed responsibly for every circle ever made since 1990. They got front page media coverage and the public become sceptical and gave the circles the flick. This played into media hands and the press often ignores each years' circles unless a very spectacular one comes along. It hasn't been helped by a group called 'Team Satan' who claim responsibility each year for large numbers of circles. However, I believe that on average, the numbers of hoaxes is less than 10 to 15 percent each year. It varies, of course.

Genuine circles of unknown origin are easier to spot than hoax ones as the big give-away is that the stalks remain unbroken in a genuine circle. In a hoaxed one with men trampling the crops down, the stalks are most often broken and bruised. A genuine circle shows no damage to crop stalks in the making of the circle. There also exist close to a dozen witnesses in the UK and Europe to the actual moment of circle making which seems to take just seconds. In many cases a bright beam or column of light appears from the sky and then a circle forms within seconds where there was nothing before. Almost too amazing to be true sometimes!

CIRCLE WEB SITES

There exist in several countries huge photo databases of every shape that has appeared and most are preserved on web sites if you wish to visit. One of the most popular in the world is the www.cropcircleconnector.com site.

These northern circles usually begin in April/May of each year as the crops begin to mature and make appearances until August until they suddenly stop. They have been sited in Holland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Belgium, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, the USA and Australia.

Another set of circles was discovered in the Conondale area on 29th March 2006. These were the second circles formation discovered here in two years. The last was found on 28th March 2004. This new formation was a straightforward circle set as was the set of four found in 2004. They were in a simple pattern of two circles - one larger and one smaller. The measured diameter of the large was 8.4 metres and that of the smaller one 4.2 metres. Their axis was aligned towards North (the line running through the centres) and only a few degrees off true North. The set of 4 found in 2004 was aligned towards North at about 20 degrees east of North.

They also occurred in pasture grass as did the four in 2004. The pattern of these circles follows the classic patterns of the early English crop circles - the stalks are bent, not broken and the grass is laid down in layers with some interweaving of the grass stems showing up in all circles. The centre of each circle had a raised section of grass which comes up in vortex pattern with a tuft in the centre. This is consistent with the English circles. The size of the central grass tuft in the 2006 circles was very large compared to the size of the circle.

The complex geometrical shapes we are now used to sighting in England and elsewhere in the world, is not evident in these two circles. Rather it was the simplest formation type. Conondale has now had two of these appearances which makes it unique in Australia. Nowhere else in this country has there been an appearance of circle formations several years in a row. There have been some circles recorded in South Australia, Victoria and Qld. However, none have repeated themselves in later years except here. The first set was in Aherns Road, just south from the main Conondale road intersection and the second set was in Cookes Road just to the north along from the intersection with the main road. In both cases they were not visible from the road and were discovered by chance.

There is no hint that they were put there to be discovered easily. In fact, without the chance of two locals on bikes going by they may never have been spotted at all until they'd almost grown out. Conondale may possibly bring us more surprises in future years. Locals who live here certainly look forward to it.

A Visit to The Weeping Madonna

By Alanna Moore

One normally associates apparitions and visitations of the Great Mother Mary with Catholic countries such as Ireland, and they are usually dismissed, by our largely atheist society, as pertinent only to the pious individuals involved or as a quaint relic of past superstition.

But my investigations have discovered that, in effect, the spiritual being known as Mary has evolved from relative insignificance in the bible to such a powerful cult status as to suggest that the feminine powers of a great Mother Goddess have reasserted themselves in Her being.

I feel that Mary is now the greatest of Goddesses in this world. (The Goddess could not stay submerged forever!)

As Mary, this goddess being brings love, compassion and healing, and she appears where these are needed most.

It is Her apparitions, not of others, such as Jesus, that constantly rise up to beg our spiritual awakenings and bring healing to people and places. And it's not just in the imagination of Catholic observers.

For instance I was told that in Sri Lanka, just before the December 2004 tsunami, an unknown woman was seen by many walking along beaches, calling out to people to head for the hills. Those who heeded her warnings were spared a watery death. Many people believe that this was Mary too.

For Mary's element is water, she is the 'Star of the Sea', the Great Mother of Waters from whence all life emerged. Water, of all the elements, is the greatest of healers. Thus Mary's healings come through her compassionate teardrops, the fonts of holy water in churches and the Irish holy wells that she frequents.

Mary in Australia
Readers of Geomantica will have read of Mary's appearances at the Church at Yankalilla in South Australia, located over an Aboriginal sacred site where a terrible massacre also occurred. The energies of that site are now peaceful and uplifting.

Mary is also a regular visitor to a site at Coogee Beach, Sydney, where people mourn the senseless deaths of young holidaymakers in the Bali bombings. (Readers gave the biggest response I can remember to any article in Geomantica for that piece.)

And now, over the last few years, she has been manifesting in Rockingham, south of Perth, Western Australia. I was fortunate to visit Her shrine and famous weeping statue there in October 2006.

Discovering the Weeping Madonna
Whilst in Alice Springs earlier this year, I had heard about a statue of Mary (in her 'Our Lady of Lourdes' aspect) that wept tears of rose scented oil. It was a phenomena checked out by church officials and unable to be explained logically. The statue had spawned a centre of pilgrimage and was associated with apparitions of and messages from Mary, as well as healings.

While I stayed in central Australia I also happened to see some old film footage from a mission station in the area. The film was interesting, to see tribal Aboriginals in full regalia etc, but it was also depressing to see the children being 'educated' and institutionalised. And sometimes ludicrous, such as the missionary man, dressed immaculately in his finest suit, seen riding his bicycle through an Aboriginal desert camp of dignified but dusty tribal people to spread his alien ideas. A Catholic friend commented that the missionised Aboriginals are now the most dysfunctional, unhappiest ones...

So the idea of Mary's manifestation - via devoutly Catholic twin sisters, Patty Powell and Eileen Giles, daughters of a missionary family, brought up mixed emotions in myself. I tried hard to be an impartial observer, but can anyone be such a thing?

The day before my visit I saw a heart wrenching exhibition about the Stolen Generation of Aboriginals, at the Perth Museum. I cried most of the time there. Most people popped their head in the door of the room, even Aboriginal people, and quickly moved on. It was just too painful.

The next day I found myself at 'Bethany House' in Rockingham, sitting beneath the famous statue, its face glistening, wet with the oil that regularly oozes from it and is collected at a tray at the bottom.

First I was ushered in to a room where I was left alone, surrounded by Mary statues, watching a film that had been made about the phenomena. The atmosphere in that room was exhilarating and electric. Some angelic type being was stationed there next to me, hovering above the rows of plastic chairs and a fluffy cat that slept peacefully beneath. I dowsed its presence surreptitously with my eyes.

Afterwards I had a chance to talk one-on-one with Eileen, after a prayer group had left the main chapel. (This being an ordinary house under conversion!) Eileen had led me out to the front of the chapel and sat me down with a cup of tea directly in front of the famous statue. She then went back to pray at the back of the room.

Oddly, the atmosphere in that location was not as powerful as the TV room. I took some photos and wondered how people would react if they found out that I was not in fact a religious person. But Eileen put me at ease and was most generous with her hospitality and time.

I was starting to feel rather tearful myself, with fresh memories of the suffering of those Stolen Generation people haunting me. I had a chat with Eileeen and told her I had come to see the statue because I'd heard about miraculous events associated with it in the Northern Territory and that I was also full of sadness for the terrible sufferings of Aboriginal people.

She acknowledged the wrongs of the past, but insisted that her family had really loved their Aboriginal 'flock' (in the Kimberleys, to the north). Whilst her folk were no doubt well meaning, I still think that the christian religion in itself has a low level of intelligence. And often a high level of arrogance.

But Eileen came across as an intelligent, compassionate, caring soul. In fact saintly is a word that could best describe her. If goodness rubs off, then she is a part of the Mary fractal too.

Eileen showed me an imprint of Mary's footsteps on concrete that had recently appeared after Her visitation in the backyard. Before I left she gave me a long blessing and rubbed some of Mary's rosy tears on my hand. It filled me with Her grace and blissful energy. I was on cloud nine!

Events at Wadeye
I still felt ambivalent about the role of colonialist religion in Australia and the story that follows shows, perhaps, that it is or has been a double edged sword for Aboriginal society

At the invitation of Bishop Ted Collins, in May 2006 the two sisters and families took the statue for its first journey away from home, to Darwin and beyond, where they visited outlying communities, such as at Bathurst and Melville Islands.

The devoutly Catholic Aboriginal people were deeply touched by Our Lady's presence and it appeared to Eileen that when Mary manifested daily to her the little children could also see Her, as their eyes "were like saucers" and they also prayed reverently around her. Blessings with Our Lady's rosy tears were given to the sick as well as a group of wounded east Timorese who were recuperating in a hospital. (You can read about the journey at their website.)

But the most extraordinary events were yet to come.

At one community they were told of an event that foretold the coming of Our Lady's presence. An Aboriginal man had had a lucid dream, where he saw a woman on top of a snake. The snake being an important religious concept, representative of Dreamtime creationism, this did not go down too well. The community banished him for ten years.

Then the Weeping Madonna statue was brought to them, with Mary depicted standing on a snake. As a result there was a wave of change that swept the community, healing the pain and frustrations of the people. The old man was brought back from the wilderness. The people accepted his vision now.

The effects of the statue's visit at the much maligned community of Wadeye (Port Keats) were the most dramatic. Wadeye had been highlighted in the media as a place of terrible social dysfunction, where youths in rival gangs ruled the streets and fought tooth and nail.

These youths were literally dragged into church by their elders, Eileen told me, to be exposed to the Weeping Madonna and her message. What they experienced changed them so profoundly that they stopped fighting and embraced Our Lady's spirit. One gang swopped their weapons for paintbrushes and started painting houses beautifully. Wadeye was transformed.

Every day Eileen would receive messages from Our Lady, such as this one in Wadeye:

"I ask my hurting people to come back onto the narrow path. Do not keep distant and alone. I am your Mother and I care for you and want to help and guide you in all you do. I know that you have felt so alone and have had many difficulties to deal with. I ask you this night to be my prayer warriors."

Religious reconciliation?
I left Eileen's gracious company feeling uplifted. When I spoke to people about my experiences at Bethany I felt Mary's energy flood back into me and later Billy Arnold was able to clairvoyantly see Her with me too.

Yet I still had mixed feelings about the effects of missionaries in Aboriginal society. Perhaps if Mary wasn't really putting down the snake, as in Her statue form, there was a chance for a hybridisation of the pagan and the christian ways. As long as the christians didn't insist on cultural superiority, both ways could work in harmony. Maybe it was already happening. Maybe Mary is riding the snake, just as a Chinese geomancer might ride the dragon?

For the snake has long been symbolic of wisdom and creative energies. As the great Theosophist and visionary Geoffrey Hodson wrote in 1977:

"The serpent is the symbol of wisdom because wisdom glides unseen everywhere, seeking entry into the mind of man; the serpent glides through the forest and the fields, silent, certain of its way.
Receive it rightly and it will illumine. Misuse it and it will sting. Do not attack the serpent. Be still and it will glide near you, and you will see its movement and its beauty. Its venom will either destroy or heal."

To early christians the serpent represented the previous status quo, of the pagan beliefs they abhorred. Thus St Patrick was said to have dispelled the snakes of Ireland, even though no snakes were ever present. (Yet I saw stones known as 'Serpent's Eggs', with a fertilising reputation, persisting since pre-christian times, at holy wells in Ireland, in September last.)

Perhaps the boundaries between the spiritual traditions of black and white societies have always been blurred in the top end of Australia, where Aboriginal culture has kept its stronghold. At its worst christian missionisation has been an instrument of cultural genocide, at its best it has provided a shelter from greater brutalities, by siding with the downtrodden.

The Weeping Madonna is a genuine phenomena, a symbol of hope and healing that is badly needed, particularly in Aboriginal Australia. As symbolic of the returning Goddess, She has crept into mankind's psyche so quietly yet powerfully that the new age goddess literature doesn't usually even rate Her a mention, with people generally so turned off by mainstream religion as to dismiss the good bits.

Like all things spiritual, this is something that people need to experience in their own way for themselves.

Why not visit the Weeping Madonna for yourself and make up your own mind about it? The chapel is open several times a week, and visits can be arranged by appointment.

More can be found out about it at the website http://www.weepingmadonna.org/

PS The Weeping Madona statue will be visiting the Alice Springs area ths coming weeekend in November.

Cosmic Energy versus the Aura

by Miroslav Provod sen. + jun.

At the time, when Aristoteles brought to the world of physics the word "ether", this word had already been known for millenia. Ether is a part of energy that had it's name in each culture. Taoists called it "chi", Babylonians - "ti", Indians - "Od-as", the Japanese "Rei-ki", Hebrews - "ruach", Tibetans - "ugs rlung", the Vedic religion - "prana".

Four thousand years later occultist Reichenbach called the spatial irradiation of life energy "od". In many cases of the new history this energy of life matter that irradiates it's surroundings was called "magnetism". This "magical" energy still calls up our attention that is even getting greater and that's why it would be appropriate to summarise it's very long terminology. In the literature it is usually described as cosmic energy. That's how we called it in our empirical research and I think that this name is appropriate. Because of the same reason it would be better if we call the first part of cosmic energy, which had been up to now in our research called "energetic space", by it's usual name "aura".

Cosmic energy consists of three energetic parts - the aura, the zones and the interzones. Ether consists of two energetic parts - the zones and the interzones.

Cosmic energy = aura + zones + interzones

Ether = zones + interzones

The properties of the aura are associated with all matter, not only organisms, as is sometimes described. By experiments with aura we got to know that when the auras of two or more objects are in contact, their auras come together to form one common aura. It was found in other experiments, that the energies of objects that form their common aura are slowly exchanged in between them until their energetic potentials are equal.

This phenomenon, that hasn't been described anywhere yet, could be used to explain many unexplainable events. It's nothing new - the properties of aura, which we will be learning, were already used 2000 years before the first pyramid was built.

At www.miroslavprovod.com , you can find in the part called "diagrams" the graphical illustration of the three parts of cosmic energy - the aura, the zones and the interzones, with a detailed description of their properties.

Nobody has yet been successful when trying to find the motivation for building hundreds of thousands of megalithic constructions, while the properties of aura offer evidential explanation.

If we place a rock into the aura of a water stream, the auras of both join into one and the rock gains energy.

It works in the same way if we place a different aura into the aura of a water stream, including organisms. It works like this in between matters of all elements - the matter in a common aura that has lower energetic potential gains energy from the matter with higher energetic potential.

There are numerous examples, as with other physical phenomenons, of energetic interaction between matters. It's easy to manipulate with the size of aura. It's quickest and most efficient when using groups of capacitors with great capacitance.

However, we don't recommend to experiment with capacitors charged to high voltages, because it leads to an increase of potential on the membranes of our cells, which could cause some health anomalies. The properties of aura can't be put together with the result, which we would expect. The aura of a group of capacitors of a radius of 40cm can influence us negatively. However, it has been proved over time that the aura of a mobile telephone with a radius of a few tens of centimeters doesn't affect our health.

Aura - the first energetic part of each matter - is a common name. In connection with cosmic energy, the unknown parts are the zones and the interzones, the second and third energetic parts of each matter. The zones are copying the shape of the aura like peels and in various distances in between them. With greater distance from their source they gain gigantic dimensions and it's not possible to find out how far from the source they go.

We don't know why, but each third zone is ten times greater than the first and the second zone. In the space between zones there are energetically weaker interzones. There are usually four of them, but in some cases there are more of them and they are always located closer to the zone that is located closer to the source. Together with the zones there is a great number of them and they create a very dense three dimensional raster - ether.

In regions of any matter, even in the regions of gas planets or clouds, we always find three parts of cosmic energy. Many objects can have their own aura, for example a stone, a lump of stones, a building, a group of buildings, a person, a stadium filled by people, a stream, a thunderstorm cloud, a tree, a planet - until the aura gets in contact with an aura of a different matter. In such a case both come together to form one energetically common aura with common energetic parts. It works like this in most cases, but there are also exceptions.

Our planet Earth has the greatest aura by the above stated rule, so all the auras on the Earth should then have one common aura with the Earth. It's not like this. Hopefully, some measuring devices will give us a clue in the future.

The crossing zones and interzones fill the surface and surrounding area of our or any other planet. These etherical parts are located literally everywhere throughout the space and we are able to define the density and composition of their "mother" matter, by looking at their changing etherical intensity.

There are specific widths and distances between zones and interzones of every matter and every matter also causes or send out into space it's specific etheric parts - it's like a bar code characteristic for each matter. It's not far before we could identify the type, the amount and the distance of some elements under the Earth's surface that is kilometres below the surface by means of special detectors and computers. So we always meet the zones and the interzones on our planet in connection to ether.

The cosmic energy and it's three energetic parts have been used by people for millenia. Einstein disregarded ether by his unshakable logic. Ether isn't acted upon by gravity, it's not material - ether is "nothing". It's invisible, it can't be measured nor weighed. We can't calculate it so "NOTHING" can't exist. The logic and knowledge of modern physics don't allow scientists to protest against Einstein and to accept again that ether exists. The modern physics just isn't able to accept the existence of ether based on it's knowledge and therefore it must reject it.

However, immaterial or more likely slightly material energetic ether does exist.

The fact that ether exists is also supported by satellites whose optic documented that lightning discharges from thunderclouds don't occur only between clouds or between the clouds and the Earth but also between the clouds and somewhere above them, somewhere unknown away from the Earth. Where and how does this incredible energy go? The cause and reason for this fact haven't been explained yet anywhere. Similar physical vacuum is associated with the cause of energy of up to 1000times more energetic lightning discharges on Saturn as they were documented by Cassini probe.

Einstein was certainly a genius, however, he wasn't infallible. For example at present we know that the speed of light is not a maximum speed. In some time we will also know that the person that was wrong with the hypothesis about ether wasn't Aristoteles but Einstein.

Some individuals who can, without optical means, identify a moving living thing, for example a person, sometimes even a long distance away from them, talk usually about "registering" the movement of the persons aura. This term is however not correct. An aura of a person, whose energy is about average, is about thirty centimeters "fat", wide or more likely high. So if people with extremely developed sensitivity in a static position registers a movement of etheric energetic parts of a moving person, they don't register the actual aura to such a distance but etheric spatial "impulses" that are moving from the aura into the surrounding space of "infinitely distributed" etherical zones and interzones.

The energetic value of a matter (the level of cosmic energy) is going up for example with increasing pressure on a given matter. The "aura" of water could be in addition also increased by thermal or microwave heating.

Another increase of energy with liquids could be realized by so called dynamization. (In a lab we could reach dynamisation just by shaking, when the molecules intensively act by friction on each other. When sea water is dynamised by inner and outer friction near a shore it shows greater energetical values in that area, which also increases it's surrounding aura or cosmic energy.)

It's interesting that each matter has it's "energetic memory". It means that if a rock gains cosmic energy when exposed to great pressure, it doesn't lose it straight after the pressure is removed. Each matter, therefore, has an ability to accumulate the cosmic energy in itself for some time.

Everybody knows places such as Lourdes, where people were spontaneously cured in relation to headwaters. In many places like this there are pilgrimage churches built above these headwaters. Many skeptics talk about these miraculous cures in these places or in normal thermal spas with a contempt.

In these cases it is energetically modified water, which was subject to great pressure and was warmed up deep under ground. It is known that in some spas the water also gains energy from rocks that contain energetically strong metals.

There are also spas where unexpected cures occur due to the energy taken from a water that was close to radioactive rocks that contain very energetic element uranium deep under ground. In some spas the bodily energy is reinforced by drinking underground energetically intensive water, in others the cosmic energy is gained by the body when swimming in the water, when the cosmic energy is transformed from the charged water into the patients body.

It is known that an ill person often doesn't need special medicine for his cure, but a sufficiency of "inner" cosmic energy, in order for the body to initiate the cure processes. Especially elderly people often don't have enough energy to cure their health process. The cells in bodies of some people have often lower intensity of cosmic energy than the molecules of curative water. By being in this energetically rich water the cells of the curing patients gain greater energetic level on their cellular membranes, which is a basic presumption of a proper functioning of these cells and also some mechanism that begins their cure.

The energetic parts of cosmic energy have similar properties to electric energy in many ways. By components of unknown principle that cause cosmic energy there is an effect called "suction by a point", which is similar to that of electrons. The cosmic energy flows from areas with greater energetic levels to areas with lower energetic levels.

While the transfer of electrical energy happens immediately, the cosmic energy transfers between different sources at much slower rate. However, some properties of cosmic energy differ from those of electrical energy. The electromagnetic waves don't penetrate a Faraday cage but this is not true with cosmic energy. If we place a source of cosmic energy into a safe (any other source of cosmic energy), they are in interaction and the final value is a sum of both energetic sources.

There are traces of manipulation with cosmic energy and ether found throughout the ages. Now we look back in time and search for the effort of our ancestors that knew the equation of the linear relationship between the intensity of their etheric potential of their body and their better health very well.

If we evaluate megalithic constructions from the cosmic energy standpoint, we find out that a rock of a pointed shape placed into the aura of a water stream, or into a place where there are zones of that water stream, it gains energy from that water source and it starts to be a menhir. With respect to specific weight and composition of that rock this standing point - menhir - gains greater energetic value than a standing point - a man - would gain. This rock works like an energetic storage battery.

Upper streams that are more "dynamised" with faster flow and with a streambed made of stones show greater energy than lower streams with slower flow and with a soft waterbed. This is also emphasised by the fact that menhirs are situated in the upper parts of water streams, especially in their inner bends, where the zones are denser and create greater energetic value. This can be easily verified by a simple experiment.

We wind a hose around a rock that is about 2 metres high. The value of it's aura could be modified by changing the number of threads or by changing the intensity of the water flow. However, the energy doesn't go up quickly. The cosmic energy transfers very slowly as stated above. It's not like an "acceleration" when we press a gas pedal in a car.

The matter of the rock has a significant energetic inertia and the energetic increase takes place over a time period that could last from tens of minutes up to hours depending on it's mass. Similar energetic "dope" (an increase of cosmic energy on the cellular membranes of the cells in a human body) could be reached when a person sits on a chair that is wrapped in tens of threads of a plastic hose with flowing water. The rock could be activated not only by the energy of water flows (underground wells, streams, rivers, sea streams), but also by other energetic sources like for example: metals, fire, thunderclouds and many other sources.

A classic example of an energetic gain of a rock from ether was a menhir "Mené er Groah" (it was destroyed by a lightning strike), which was 23.5 metres high and was located near Locmariaquer in Bretagne. It is an isolated case, but is very informative, because it brings up the knowledge of ancient cultures about the energetic properties of ether. The engineers got a task to build an energetic source of the capacity wanted in that place. The easiest solution would have been to spread the matter of a high menhir into more menhirs. However, this wasn't possible, as the ether zones didn't offer the required energetic level - this was located higher above the ground surface. The engineers then had to build a high menhir. The obelisks built in later cultures had the same energetic reason as "Mené er Groah" menhir.

The lonely standing menhir was the easiest megalithic structure that was giving energy to many people. In order to refill or increase the level of cosmic energy in our body people didn't have to sit on top of the menhir for hours. It was enough when the "cured" person stayed in the region of aura of the menhir or even in a zone that was located further from the menhir. People didn't miss the fact that they could gain more energy faster when they are between two or more menhirs, where the auras are denser. This inspired them to cover the tip of the menhir with another rock. This is how an energetically "richer" dolmen was created. There are hundreds of thousands of dolmens existing. The ancient engineers did know well that it matters what type of rock needs to be placed on top of the "curing platform".

The effort to reach a maximum value of cosmic energy and the ability to compare the energetic interaction that is related to the chemical structure of individual types of rocks compelled the ancient wizards and healers to often difficult transport of different rocks and stones. These engineers must have known the energetic values of the interactions very well because even that they could have placed a stone from a close vicinity onto the dolmen desk, they have transported big stones from great distances whose chemical structure was different.

The next level of energetic structures of the past were Zikkurats (Babylonian tower). With time, the progress came to the knowledge that the matter of the structure, which gains energy from etheric zones, must not be a monolith nor a rock but it could also be high quantity of earth. Moreover, the matter of the structure of a zikkurat was activated by a metal (on the top there was a golden statue of a gods).

Later, this knowledge was used by all megalithic and religious structures. Towers with bells, minarets with golden domes etc. further dynamically increased the energy of the objects. However, the increase of cosmic energy can't be beneficial for human health in a linear relationship forever.

When building religious structures it was observed that more means less, in other words - from the present science point of view - it was found that going over the optimal level of charge on the cellular membranes is dangerous in the same way or worse than the energetic deficit. The matter of the structure must have been balanced by the energetic gain, the amount of time spent in the sanctuary and the amount of people who were inside. Because of that, pastorates were built out of the energetic reach of the religious structure. The energy could have been regulated by the number and height of towers. The towers then gain energy from three sources - when penetrating etheric zones, because of the known fact of suction by a point and they are activated by the metal of the bells.

We can't pass over the position of the bells. In the 15th and 16th centuries the bells were also hung in the opposite way than it is usual - with the tongue upwards. This was especially beneficial with heavy bells that were then easily swung - the bell started to swing under it's own weight and the swinging was kept by a paddle. Because this type of hanging bells was considered uncatholic in the 17th century, most bells in most towers that had been hung in this way were hung with the tongue downwards.

By an easy experiment we could easily prove that bells that are hung by the tongue downwards increase the energetic value of the tower by 250%. If the bell is hung with the tongue upwards the basic energetic value of the matter of the tower decreases by 30%. The shape of the matter of the bell works in the same way as the shape of a water stream, dome or cope does: it creates greater energetic density. The towers of religious structures that have a globlet located on their top (it's a similar case as when there is a bell hung with the tongue upwards), decrease the energetic value of the structure.

The calculation of the optimal amount of matter and height of the towers was impossible before the construction has begun because of the creation of different relations between surrounding zones and interzones. It was not until the construction had begun when the energy of the object was being regulated until it reached it's optimal value by changing the volume of the matter, the amount of metals, the energetically strong crystallic pebbles or the height of the suction points.

The characteristic energetic properties for all kinds of religious structures was their high mass, towers, rounded shapes and supplemented activation parts like metals, fires, etc.

The motivation for the construction of menhirs, dolmens, cromlechs, mounds, stone mans and other similar structures was usually explained by astronomical, calendar, agricultural and ritual motives. We can't wonder that other arguments couldn't have been offered by known facts.

But there are even more mysterious megalithic structures - thousands of stone spheres that weigh more than 15 tons. They are located in Costa Rica and in other parts of the american continent and some even close to the north pole. The arguments for their existence weren't persuasive but I agree that it's not possible without the knowledge of ether. A rock in the shape of a sphere that is located in an etheric zone is energetically activated and becomes an independent source, which sends spherical zones out into surrounding space. These cross other energetically stronger etheric zones, interact with them and by their conductive properties bring greater amount of cosmic energy to the place where the stone sphere is located. It is probable that Olmec heads that are made from stone and have similar mass could have had similar function.

On the Nazca plain etheric zones are marked in the flat terrain. The water flows that were built underground were built to connect individual zones so that the energy could be transported to another place. A verification that shows that the zones in the Nazca plain were made energetically stronger are the rows of stones located very close to some zones (the stones are in interaction with the zone).

The present architecture isn't interested in the energetics of structures and some structures could be so called "cancer houses" or could just slowly negatively affect their inhabitants. Skeptics could say that the steel constructions of skyscrapers and their height must show the negative effect more markedly. The answer could be found in history, when people on the american continent built more than hundred thousand mounds, they cared a lot that the clay mounds weren't built on a subsoil made from rock and they carefully isolated them by means of organic matter.

When building mounds in Europe, the same technologic progress was abided. When constructing skyscrapers, we can't even imagine that they would be built in another way than on a solid subsoil made from rock. We can deduct that the contact of the structure with the seam works in the same way as grounding by the fact that it drains the energy away into the ground. However, it could be different with some low-bed structures that were built on earthen seams. In these connections it could be interesting to find out statistically the death rate in different hospitals.

It's not easy to believe the fact that ancient people already had the knowledge about etheric energy that our civilisation will now only start to learn. The twentieth century, when thousands of scientists unsuccessfully tried to resolve the mysteries of megalithic culture, proves that the explanation is not in the region of known facts. Therefore we must look for the answers of the puzzles of structures somewhere else.

Orion People

By Sergei Skryabin

Just as the surface pictures of Earth[1], the surface images of Mars are also telling a story. There are many images on Mars with different meanings, but the main is the level-tuned picture which describes the solar system of our creators.

They arrived from the Orion belt group of stars: compare the Orion belt stars in the sky and three Tharsis's volcanoes:
http://www.world-mysteries.com/giza_vs_tharsis_mars.htm
http://160.114.99.91/astrojan/orion.htm

The pictured image tells that the Horse Head nebula in the Orion belt region had given birth to their Sun and maybe to the stars of the Orion belt: we can see the image of the Horse Head nebula slightly up of the Valles Marineris delta.

On the elevation map[2] it is a green horse on the blue background and it has a shape which practically coincides with the shape of the Horse Head nebula: http://www.aao.gov.au/images/captions/aat036a.html
I encircled it on the attached picture.

We see [2] that this horse gives birth to the stars and planets (Aram Chaos is on her buttocks and depicts the star delivering event). These celestial bodies lead us along their stream to the picture of their Sun made by the impact event with the outgoing multiple long rays (the Argyre Planitia region). To the south east from this star starting from the easternmost side of Argyre's circle we see the two well aligned rows of the planets: the first consists of the four hard rock planets (which are shown counting from the easternmost side of Argyre Planitia circle to the north east direction) and strictly in parallel to it (down to the south) we see the second row comprised of the four larger gaseous planets.

I do believe that they designed our solar system to model their own home. Until the time when we gained the development level high enough to be able to see the topographic features from space we were restricted to get this information.

Nevertheless, for the planet Earth it was possible to see this sort of surface information prior to the space exploration era. The water delivered to the planet made the topographic information available since the time when sailors started mapping the shapes of the continents, which I described in my first article[1]

Earth Mars Connection

by Sergei Skryabin

[1.] Red Rock

From my investigation of the lines on the palm of my right hand, I saw that they represent particularly the K-letter like pattern - with the vertex of its rays in the very center of the palm, linked to the delta of the Valles Marineris canyon system on Mars (Aram Chaos) and Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Australia. (See my previous feature articles "Greetings from Mars" - http://www.geomantica.com/geom30.htm#7)
and "Creation does not Stop" - http://www.geomantica.com/geom32.htm#1.)

After analysis of this strange double coincidence I had a thought that there must be some mysterious connection between those two places. Let's take a look at them.

As NASA writes at http://pds.jpl.nasa.gov/planets/captions/mars/marscany.htm -
"Valles Marineris: Nearly half of the Valles Marineris canyon system is visible here.
The entire system extends over 4000 km (2490 mi), covering about one fifth the circumference of Mars. Some parts of the canyon run as deep as 7 km (4 mi) and as wide as 200 km (125 mi). Compared to Valles Marineris, the Grand Canyon on Earth seems quite small at 446 km (277 mi) long, 30 km (18 mi) wide and 1.6 km (1 mi) deep."

From other hand, Dr. Andrew A. Snelling (Creationist Associate Professor of Geology) writes in his article at: http://www.answersingenesis.org/creation/v20/i2/uluru.asp

"Uluru consists of many layers or beds of the same rock tilted and standing almost up on end (dipping at 8085°). The cumulative thickness of these exposed beds is at least 2.5 kilometers (1.6 miles), but the additional layers under the surrounding desert sand bring the overall thickness to almost six kilometers (3.75 miles)."

Now let us compare the total thickness of Uluru (six kilometers) and the depth of the Valles Marineris canyon system (seven kilometers). At this point I had simply decided that this piece of rock with its unusual sand structure properties (read the article of Dr. Andrew A. Snelling completely),which comprises Uluru and the underground part of it, was simply carried onto the Earth from Mars during its construction process.

If so, we must consider the Uluru as a magic monument delivered from the Red Planet to commemorate the Great Creators of Earth.

Now a question arises: Is it my destiny to prove the Uluru and Mars connection? At least I hope that I don't suffer with apophenia and the lines on the palm are meaningful in some sense.

P.S. It is an interesting coincidence that the "K" letter represented, since ancient Egyptian times - the palm.(This info from the table in the article of Prof.George Boeree:"The Origin of the Alphabet ." Its address: http://www.ship.edu/%7Ecgboeree/alphabet.html).

[2.] Testimony of the Flood

While looking on the elevation map of Mars (http://www.google.com/mars/)
the temptation arises to suppose that much more stuff could be delivered to Earth, for example, from Hellas Planitia (which has a 2200 km diameter and is about 9 km deep).

If this case could be true, the function of the Valles Marineris would be as a drainage system
to collect the waters which were poured onto the Earth in the place Machtesh Ramon (3 on the south of Israel.), Makhtesh Sinai (2) and others.(Makhteshim are large craters made by enormous torrents of water poured from above.)
http://www.bibleplaces.com/machteshramon.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Makhtesh

Water was frozen into large chunks in the trough of Valles Marineris but not completely enough to provide easy extraction. Now we can see the outflow delta in the east corner of Valles Marineris formed by waves caused by the lift up events.

This act of the water transfer permitted to synchronize the rotation periods of the planets smoothly (to 24 and 24.6 hours) and to adjust the tilt to 23 degrees 27 minutes for Earth, to 25 degrees 12 minutes for Mars to optimize the sunbathing conditions."

Book Review:

'The Earth Path

- grounding your spirit in the rhythms of nature'
by Starhawk

Reviewed by Sonya Wallace

Author Starhawk, is a peace, environmental, and global justice activist and trainer, a Permaculture designer and teacher, a Pagan and a Witch and one of her most recent books is The Earth Path.

Known internationally for her earth-based spirituality, US-based Starhawk, combines the esoteric with the practical in this, her tenth book.

The Earth Path shows "how we can re-root our spirits, our politics, and our day-to-day life in deep relationship with the Earth."

She discusses ways to combine ritual, spirituality, environmental activism and everyday lifestyle choices to most benefit the environment.

I was hooked on this book when I flicked through it at the bookstore and saw a compost blessing. (I'm a keen composter!).

This aligned with my and others belief that the intent we put into things greatly affects the final outcome.

Starhawk relates her experiences of leading her coven and other groups through healing Earth rituals in nature, and then turning very practical by picking up rubbish and making sure the site is cleaner when they leave than when they arrived.

Putting the spiritually into tree-planting and garden care, celebrating the changing seasons, defining ways to act locally and globally for a better world all are discussed in The Earth Path.

Starhawk's book challenges the reader to consider the impact they are having on the Earth and future generations.

February 9 - 12th

'Red Blanket Gathering - 2007'

The intent for this Gathering is for all people to come together around the sacred Fire. In peace, balance, harmony and respect, we come to give thanks, to honour those who have walked before us and to celebrate the coming together of all tribes, all races, all nations, all ages, all people in a good way. We warmly invite the indigenous Elders to this gathering to share insights, songs, stories and dances, that we may heal the past and be inspired for the future.

The Gathering will be held at the Bunya Mountains Environmental Centre, set on 22 acres of tree-studded magnificent rainforest, adjacent to national park walking tracks. This balanced environment is an ideal place to meet with others, to give thanks and to celebrate the coming together of all peoples. Aboriginal people have historically walked the trails from great distances to meet at the Bunya Mountains for the Bunya Feast. For more information on the centre and the National Park, you may like to check www.bunyamountains.com/

The Sacred Fire will be lit on the morning of the 9th and closed at noon on the 12th of February. Setting up camp for campers is on the 8th in the afternoon. Call for volunteers. This Gathering is for participants. As there is much work to be done before, during and after the event, we are therefore calling for volunteers to help with the various activities needed to make this event happen.

Sponsoring an Elder: The Elders from overseas need assistance with international flights, food and accommodation costs. There are also Aboriginal People of Australia, grandfathers and grandmothers, some living far away, who also need assistance with travel costs. So please help by sponsoring or helping to sponsor an Elder.

Participation costs: This is a non-profit Gathering for Peace & Healing. There are huge expenses to pull such an event together. So, we are asking for an event fee of AUD$75 per adult for the Gathering costs and AUD$50 for children under 16yrs. Children under 3 yrs are free. Please book ASAP.
we ask that these areas be given privacy, quietness & respect.

Food: A communal meal will be catered for by the Gathering at lunch times (vegetarian and meat).

You need to register for the Gathering. So, please let us know by the end of December (or as early as possible!!) if you are attending, as we need to know numbers.

Please contact: Catherine or Michael at: 07 4613-0017 or oneness@ozemail.com.au
