Summer edition / December 2003 the free E-magazine of dowsing & geomancy, in Australasia and beyond. Edited by Alanna Moore. Welcome to the summer 2003 edition of Geomantica. Once again a thought provoking line up from some very original thinkers. Controversy about the value of using radionic techniques in biodynamic agriculture is stirred up by James Hedley, who explains that even Rudolph Steiner was thinking that this was the way of the future. Steve Hawkins concludes his geomantic journey with the final part of the 'Giants Dance', an exclusive publication for Geomantica. Billy Arnold explains about the so-called 'Harmonic Concordance' of November 8-9th. I give an overview of the role of a modern geomancer; and there's some great news snippets, picked up at the International Dowsing Congress I attended last September in the UK. The non-news is: still no new video films released by Geomantica, unfortunately. The new computer to complete them has yet to manifest. Have a great summer and I hope that the continuing drought isn't too bad... Why not leave out bowls of fresh water for the birds' benefit? A tip to avert bushfires - one informant tells me that she blessed her property, going around its boundaries, and the approaching fire kept well away. (But please don't neglect the usual methods!) Until next quarter Peace and bright blessings
Qld Dowsers? Dear Alanna, We are from Queensland. My husband has been
able to dowse ever since he was a small child. Taught by his
English mother, he has felt very alone as every one he talks
to about his great gift all turn away from him. We are trying
to find a society of dowsers or an association of them. Yours Sincerely, Patricia & Donald Stewart
Songlines Threatened/Help Save Paradise! Maureen Brannan has written to Geomantica to tell about the threat to the Burnett River from a proposed dam project. It's a place of habitat for rare plant and animal species, she says, and she knows biologists who have ..."been researching endangered Queensland lungfish and as yet undescribed Elseya sp. turtle populations in the Burnett River along their last stretch of (relatively) healthy breeding habitat, 45 kms upstream of Paradise,an old goldmining township and STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL meandering part of the river, previously protected by the Goodnight Scrub National Park status, but removed by misleading legislation so that this MAGNIFICENT, sacred place can be inundated by a huge superdam, which nobody, except a few cane farmers & multinationals, want. " she writes. As well there are Aboriginal traditional owners who would suffer from the proposed desecration of the river. "The 'Burnett Water For All Group' Statement
of Key Issues, under Cultural heritage for Aboriginal people

The September 2003 edition of EMR News, published by the EMR Association of Australia, once again provides a valuable round up of news, some of which is summarised below. * EMRAA reports the establishment of a new Centre for Research Excellence, which aims to increase knowledge by conducting research on possible health effects associated with electromagnetic energy emissions from radiocommunications devices such as mobile phones and mobile phone towers. Also, on July 4th last an Electromagnetic health Complaints Register was officially launched, administered by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA). "This is the first time that Australia has had a centralised capacity for collating reports about just how EMR is affecting the public." Complaint reporting forms are available from ARPANSA, you can phone them on 1800 022 333 or go to the website at www.arpansa.gov.au/media/mr1_040703.htm * A Sydney community Oatley has had a precedent setting legal victory in its battle to have a mobile phone antenna removed. The judgement found the carrier's (Hutchinson) installation of a mobile phone tower in Oatley Park earlier in the year to have been illegal and ordered its removal in ten days. * A landmark decision in the regulation of "so-called low-impact mobile phone towers" has been won in Victoria. The decision of 27th August in the Victorian Supreme Court has implications for intended communications facilities throughout the country. The dispute involved Hutchison, which had trespassed on Department of Housing property (the rooftop of a public housing block in St Kilda, Melbourne) to install a cluster of 14 poles, six panel antennas and a parabolic antenna for its 3G network, claiming them to be "low-impact" Federal legislation allows "low-impact" facilities to be constructed without approval from council or communities, nor obligation for consultation. It was fought by the Director of Housing, but it wasn't until it reached the Supreme Court was the decision reached that it did not constitute a "low-impact" facility. * A New Zealand company has been banned from selling a device claimed to reduce radiation from mobile phones. 'Wave Shield' was marketed as blocking up to 97% of EMR from the inner ear. * A British woman, who's family suffered severely affected sleep after a mobile phone tower was installed several hundred metres from her home, has hung special nickel-plated curtains in her windows. The fabric, designed by the Defence Ministry, blocks mobile phone signals. The family has since returned to having normal sleep patterns. * The New South Wales State Government has amended the National Parks and Wildlife Act to allow mobile phone towers to be constructed in national parks. The move has been strongly criticised by the Opposition, the Greens and the National Parks and Wildlife Service. For more info about EMRAA website is

The Druids have put up huge roadside monoliths to restore the natural flow of "earth energy". After the one tonne pillars of white quartz were erected beside a notorious stretch of road during a secret two-year trial, the number of fatal accidents fell from an average of six a year to zero. Gerald Knobloch, who describes himself as an archdruid, used a divining rod to inspect the 275-metre stretch of the A9 in Styria and restore "earth energy lines". "I located dangerous elements that had disrupted the energy flow," he said. "The worst was a river which human interference had forced to flow against its natural direction. By erecting two stones of quartz at the side of the road the energy lines were restored." The pillars had a similar function to acupuncture, he said. "Acupuncture needles also restore broken energy lines. What acupuncture does for the body, the stones do for the environment." Harald Dirnbacher, an engineer from the motorway authority, admitted that they turned to Mr Knobloch as a last resort. "We had put up signs to reduce speed, renewed the road surface and made bends more secure but we still kept getting accidents," he said. "At that point we couldn't think of anything else to do and decided we might as well try anything. "I admit when we first looked at it [energy lines] we were doubtful. We didn't want people to know in case they laughed at us, so we kept the trial secret and small-scale. But it was really an amazing turnaround." Scientists are sceptical of the claims. But the motorway authorities are extending the Druids' role across the country, paying them about $A6300 for each investigation - a fraction of the cost of resurfacing a road.
Roy and Ann Proctor, professional dowsers specialising in household energy clearing, who gave a talk at last Septembers's International Dowsing Congress in the UK, say that their aim is for the compatability of household energies. Treating around 600 cases per year they have had to resort to doing remote clearings. This happened after there was an article about them in a national newspaper, after which they got 800 responses. Nowadays few people say that they don't want a remote clearing. Recently they have teamed up with a statistician in a research project to evaluate the effectiveness of their work. Trying to remove the placebo effect in the design of the project was tricky. A questionnaire was given to clients before and after work was done and also 2 months further down the track. 150 were sent out and 105 were received back, which is a very good response rate, the statistician noted! 90% of the clients had been referred by word of mouth. All the clients had requested help and attributed their problems to the house. 88 had reported physical symptoms, 74 had psychological effects, while 35 had emotional problems and 37 had problems of a psychic or spiritual nature. Cancer, ME and depression were common symptoms. As a result of treatments done remotely by
the Proctors, of the 105 people returning their questionnaires
48 had experienced immediate benefits, 85 had significant
benefits after 2 months time and, curiously, 16 had gained benefit
before the treatment was actually done! The report of the project can be found at
the website at www.dspace.dial.pipes.com/proctor
Moscows street trees have a hard time surviving the grime, air pollution, and the salt and chemicals from snow clean ups etc. By the early 1990's an estimated 70% were sick and dying. Well known dowser Alex Dubrov discovered that the trees that succumbed first to stresses were additionally under geopathic stresses, including Hartmann grid energy. After much lobbying eventually the city officials used his information in a 5 year trial starting in 1997-98, and they are now doing follow up. As a result of the affected trees being repositioned
away from geopathic and other stress zones, some 80% of them
are now healthy and thriving, Sergey Bondarchuk told the International
Dowsing Congress in September 2003.
Christopher Strong writes of life at the Mill House on the River Slaney in Ireland. A bedroom door kept mysteriously opening of its own accord at about 12.50am each night. Cross with having his sleep interrupted one night he sat up in bed and shouted "Whoever you are, go away and leave us alone!" Or words to that effect. They were not disturbed ever again. So when the well suddenly dried up and there was no sign of any water flowing into it, Peter the handyman, suggested they try what had been done in the bedroom. "So, giggling I shouted down the well 'Could we have our water back please?' We laughed and shrugged our shoulders and said "Well that isn't going to work, is it?' Whereupon there was a gurgle in the well and a gush of water from the side of the shaft, which filled it in no time. Peter turned pale and asked whether we had a vodka in the house. The well never dried up again."

Much excitement this season (July 2003) in Wiltshire, UK - Crop Circle land! Agni Hotra fires contributed 20 hours of continuous Tryumbakam (mantram of Immortality) chanting throughout the recent Devizes Crop Circle conference. The event was blessed with glorious weather, interesting speakers and activities, plus a number of fascinating formations in nearby fields! = = = = = = = = = = = = = Mysterious lights were videotaped emerging
from the thirty-seven "Before we went down the hill and into
the formation, we picked up what I thought were at least twenty
unusual objects flying in the formation, up out of the formation
and possibly flying very close to the tramlines. These objects
were of similar characteristics to other I would say they were the size of a golf ball or slightly larger. They seem to have slight differences in sizes at times, so you can't say exactly what size they are, but the ones I picked up (on videotape) I would say were about the size of a golf ball. They accelerated at a speed that was so fast
I couldn't track them anymore. Probably the most compelling one
is the one that comes straight out of the central circle, flies
across several They all had different sort of behaviors.
The first one glided smoothly across the crop. The second one
I picked up on tape just flew directly out of the circle and
then some flew closer to the We can't say definitely that these small lights are the creators of the formation caught in daylight on our tape, but they do seem to connected to the formation in some way. I felt they were definitely intelligent. They were not at the mercy of the wind. they were certainly self-aware and knew exactly what they were doing. I felt in some strange way that they were sort of reacting to ourselves. A lot of people talk about how the human mind is somehow connected to crop circles, but I think these objects are aware of our minds working. Maybe they were sort of playing up to the camera. It's an extraordinary thing to say, but looking back on it and analyzing what happened, it was almost like a show they put on." SOME THOUGHTS ON RADIONICS © James Hedley, Running Stream, NSW. As I travel around in my work with Radionics,
a common theme that I hear from people is that of intent. Intent
with the meaning that, if someone intends for a field broadcaster
to act in a particular way, and writes that intention on a piece
of paper, the field broadcaster will operate in a way that the
person intends. It is claimed by many operators and gurus on
field broadcasters and Radionics [except this one] that when
a command is written, such as that a field broadcaster will only
broadcast to whatever parameters are indicated and that it will
happen for the highest good and that by some mysterious process,
the fact that we intend for something to happen just automatically
occurs. When looked at in this way, it becomes obvious that intent and field broadcaster operation, depend on your skills in being able to bring spirit into form, and with your connection with the spiritual realms. As with other intentions, the other actions that you take as a result of your intent, will strongly affect your ability to manifest what it is that you want. One question people frequently ask me is, "How do we know if our field broadcaster is operating correctly, if even working at all?" If the radionic broadcast is working you will
see results. In this context I mean that you will see immediate
results. You will be able to observe, with a pendulum the field
of operation of the field broadcaster. You will also be able
to see other results. The BD preparations, being based on life, are able to respond in real time to cosmic events as they happen. Life adapts to circumstance. A radionic instrument of any type does not. The field broadcaster only transmits the frequencies that it is tuned to. The effects claimed by the proponents of field broadcasters are not always replicable. Maybe this has to do with the operator being part of the circuit. I believe that the radionic instrument operates in sympathetic resonance with the operator, whereas the BD preparations act in sympathetic resonance with the cosmic forces. It is like the difference between a dead body and one that is alive. The dead body has all the substances of a live one. Both bodies are affected by the same terrestrial and cosmic forces, and energies. However the dead body is not able to react to these forces. The difference is consciousness. Consciousness and awareness are associated with life. Energy is the substance that life feeds upon. The traditional Biodynamic preps have both consciousness and energy. The spiritual and natural realm is a realm
of consciousness, whereas energy is an amorphous mass until worked
on by spirit to differentiate energy into matter or substance.
Quantum physics posits that there are only two things in the
universe. This is incorrect, there are 3 "The basis of an the individuality of an entity must come from its ideal spirituality. For all is born first in spirit, then in mind, then it may become manifested in the material plane. For God moved, and the heavens and the earth came into being. God is Spirit. Man with his soul, that may be a companion to the Creative Forces, is of that same source. Thus to grow in grace and knowledge, one applies, one has, one uses one's spiritual self. And with what spirit we apply, we grow also in mind and body." Cayce (3424-1) The farmer is the intermediary bringing and manifesting the idea from spirit into mind and then into the material plane. His stirring makes him the enlivening force in the whole process with his actions and his spirit and his intent. There is rhythm to all life, constant ebb and flow, a cyclical pulsation. Field broadcasters with their constant broadcast operate against natural rhythms unless used with total awareness of the effects that the broadcast is having. There is never a continuous, consistent radiation from anything in the universe. There is pulsation and movement in all life. This is not to say that there is not an important role for the use of Radionic instruments, however the use and understanding of the limitations of these types of instruments will evolve as the practitioner becomes more spiritually aware. Things such as intent and psychic powers are Siddhis in the Indian spiritual system. These are only a step along the way not the ultimate goal. Steiner on radionics This I think accounts for how you can have a diversity of instruments, made by different people which will work with a common set of rates. It is the spirit in residence in the instrument or field broadcaster, which keeps it in tune with the spiritual realms and interprets intent and action into force, not intent. Sounds a bit like Ahrimanic spirits or devas to me. So with the field broadcaster we have an Ahrimanic
entity as the enlivening force between consciousness and energy.
It works in an inflexible way using the settings given in a constant
stream. A computer is also an Ahrimanic device, like a Field
Broadcaster, and you need to work with it within it's limitations.
So it is with a Field Broadcaster, you cant just put in a statement
of what you want. You have to be involved in the process. It is important that we do not fall for the illusion that because we have viewed a little bit of creation by being able to harness cosmic forces to enhance life that we have even reached the status of minor gods. The realm of creation is not the realm of man at this point of evolution. Man is only part of it. Brian Keats the publisher of the biodynamic farming Astro Calendar in a recent post to the email exchange BDnow and republished in Newsleaf* asked two very important questions which need to be considered in relation to the use of Radionic Instruments. Brian asks, Ethics and Morality
The viewpoint held by Aristotle placed ethics beyond the arena of theoretical and into the empirical, observable world of human behaviour. The nature of the behaviour is the purpose of the action, and as such, defines the ethical component. Aristotle believed that an absolute moral standard was not possible because morality is determined by behaviour and outcome. Morality is also defined by community standards relating to that behaviour. The individual constantly makes choices from amongst a range of options as defined by these community standards. Consequently it is up to the community to decide this question. An individual can shape the debate and the direction that discussion takes but eventually it is a case of community awareness of the implications of any action. Some time ago I was researching the spiritual and ethical implications of any type of research when it was pointed out to me that "Aristotle was a slave owner and thus was not in a position to discuss freedom, except from a theoretical viewpoint". The same principle applies to the relationships of the users of Radionic instruments and to the people who question their use. We must ensure that our knowledge is not just based on theories, and that we are able to answer the deep ethical questions involved. We must be able to support our viewpoints from both the theoretical and empirical world and not just follow some viewpoint because it is fashionable. Rudolf Steiner believed that the use of Sympathetic Vibratory Physics would remove much of the drudgery and heavy work from man. He saw it as part of the spiritual growth of mankind to be able to understand its value and limitations and to be able to work with that with awareness. To combine it with the use and awareness of the workings of traditional Biodynamic preps brings another dimension to understanding how a farmer works with implements, and his own spirit to manifest different approaches to fertility.

(c) Hawkins 2003. Total Lunar Eclipse November 2003 © Billy Arnold Two interlocked Grand Trines. Astrologically a trine is good news in a horoscope, three trines forming an equilateral triangle is better news, and with two geometrically opposing equilateral triangles the energy is even more powerful, but it means there is the addition of two powerful oppositions, namely between Sun and Node, and between Mars and Jupiter. To my mind this extremely powerful energy conditioning the earth force will be a blessing if used in meditational type activity or in creative work. More so with pure intent and goodwill. Chiron is is a tiny asteroid but symbolically powerful as a healer. However, the Node is not an objectlike a planet. Astronomically a Node is a reference point, being either of the two points at which the orbit of a heavenly body cuts the ecliptic the imaginary path of the Sun as seen from earth. In a horoscope, the position of the north node at 20° Taurus can be illustrated accurately for 14 minutes past noon 8th of November 2003, as seen illustrated above. Astrologically the north node has to do with what life brings effortlessly, as opposed to what you have to work hard to get. Moon activates these energies over several days, but a lunar eclipse in conjunction with north node is beyond my capacity of astrological analysis for prediction. Instead, I can't wait to see what happens in the world in the second week of November '03. NB. the degree of trine aspects varies up to 10 degrees, not a mathematically pure harmonic, but the best I've seen in a chart, and one I hope to hear as earthforce in meditation. THE NORTH NODE IN TAURUS OLD BERTS PROPHECY Bert is also a lover of expounding Biblical Revelation. His interpretation of Revelation reckons that an individual or group will 'Nuke the Temple Mount in Jerusalem in 2003'. So, just to be on the safe side, because the star of David is seen in a horoscope's aspect lines between the planets 4-11th Nov 2003, don't hang about too long at Temple Mount or the wailing wall if you find yourself in Jerusalem at that time Esoteric Astrology The following Basic Statements in italics are from "Esoteric Astrology" which is Volume 3 in "A Treatise on the Seven Rays" published by the Lucis Trust. (Volumes 1 and 2 are Esoteric Psychology. Volume.3 is Esoteric Astrology. Vol.4 is Esoteric Healing. Vol.5 is The Rays and Initiations.) 'The statement is frequently made that astrology is an exact science, but that is far from correct in spite of the many mathematical computations. Astrology is based, curiously enough, upon an illusion, for the zodiac is merely the imaginary path of the sun through the heavens'. To us, as we orbit the sun on our little planet, the sun appears to orbit the earth. The sun appears to be passing through the zodiac at any time or season because our viewpoint is from Earth. Appearances can be deceptive. Traditional horoscopes represent an earth bound view of the heavens. "Astrology is a science which needs to be updated to a Sun Centred Solar System before we can gain a truer perspective of energies and forces and a more accurate appreciation of the future". 'In ancient days it was believed that the Earth was the centre of the solar system and that the sun and the planets revolved around earth. Later, when further discoveries bought more knowledge the earth was decentralised, and the truth of earth orbit around the sun was more clearly seen. Much remains to be discovered, and may even be of as revolutionary a nature'. Regardless of which time system is used, 'Esoteric Astrology is the purest presentation of the hidden truth, because it is the science which deals with those conditioning and governing energies and forces which play through and upon the whole field of space and all that is found within that field'. 'Group awareness, group relations, and group integrity come to the fore in human consciousness. As this takes place, the personality, which is individual, separative, and self-centred, will recede, and the soul, non-separative, group conscious and inclusive will come more to the fore. Interest in individual horoscopes will decrease, and increasingly the astrology of planetary, systemic, and universal pictures will stand out in the awareness of the individual'. 'The perception of the nature of what lies behind the Great Illusion of Manifest Phenomena, and the destiny of our planet, of the kingdoms in nature, and of humanity as a whole, constitute the major part of the theme of Esoteric Astrology'. 'The fundamentals teach, "Space is an Entity". It is with the life of this entity and with the forces and energies, the impulses and the rhythms, the cycles and the times and the seasons that Esoteric Astrology deals'. "There is one aspect of energy for which most modern astrologers make very little allowance, and yet it is of paramount importance. This is the energy that radiates from the Earth itself. Living on earth we are at all times bathed in the emanations, the fields and the radiations of the earth. Astrologers emphasise the incoming influences and energies, but they have omitted taking into consideration the emanating qualities and forces that are the contribution of the Earth's Etheric Body to the Whole".

In yoga some powers are developed by Absorption in Nature with yoga breathing. The goal of yoga can be reached by concentration on yoga breathing alone. In Esoteric Astrology, the study of energy, layayoga is the Science of the Centres, the chakras. The hands are moved in the centres and near the eyes according to the sequence of parallels. This practice is used in the fifth stage of
yoga, 'sense withdrawal', proir to deeper concentration then
meditation. With open eyes gaze at Saturn then block the view of it with a hand at each eye according to the declination sequence. Be aware of depth of focus in each eye and repeat it in meditation with closed eyes as you prepare internally for the next breath. © Alanna Moore, 2003. In my work as a geomancer I assess the invisible hazards in the environment that can influence our wellbeing for better or worse. Looking at the overall 'feng shui' of a home or building site can involve checking out a lot more than the Chinese geomancers of old could have dreamed of. And being in Australia means addressing the haunted aspects of our landscape, so that people can avoid building on desecrated Aboriginal sites. It can be a bit of a let down to clients when they are told 'you can't build just there'! But, in understanding the risks involved they are usually very grateful! In times long past people sought out sites where Earth energies were most concentrated - in springs, caves, rocky outcrops, mountain tops etc. Some became the sacred sites, which, if approached properly with reverence and ritual, could inspire prophesy or enhance healing, fertility or initiation. The intense energetic atmosphere of a site is a blend of the life force (ch'i) and consciousness of the Earth, humans and nature spirits (aka devas), with cosmic connections too. As a dowser I've learned about the importance of all of these factors in the landscape, and lately, having had many travels around Australia and New Zealand in the last few years, I've been meeting some very interesting nature spirits. (I'm fortunate in that my partner Billy can actually see them.) Myth, or just another dimension? There are various 'species' of deva, with the 'Wandjina' and rainbow serpents being fairly common in Australia. Lizard or crocodile headed/human torsoed beings are found in Australia and New Zealand, where the 'tanifwha' is a well known guardian spirit, given due respect by the Maori. When a highway re-alignment threatened the riverside home of a tanifwha in New Zealand last November, works were stopped until the local Maori tribe and Transit NZ could come to some agreement, to keep the tanifwha happy. I hope it still has its home intact, because I know that tanifwhas like to move around their territory. Some people say that the bunyip is the equivalent (water) spirit in Australia. What do you do with a wounded dragon? Earth acupuncture is often used by geomancers to harmonise Earth ch'i. This can be in the form of standing stones or 'Towers of Power'. These installations can transform the energetic character of a place and also attract nature spirits. They can help create a sacred site in one's own back yard. Healing the Land Future geomancy The latter is actively encouraged in places like Switzerland, where local council subsidies exist to employ a dowser's services before moving or building. By helping the community avoid zones of geopathic stress discomfort and disease may be avoided, so in their wisdom they must see this as good prophylactic medicine.

of a Dowser. Results of research on more than 3000 apartments,

disturbance of sleep, health and school performance'. A school teacher in Austria for 30 years, the Pedagogical Institute in Saltzburg gave Bachler her unusual assignment: Research into the connections between geopathic zones of disturbances and the academic failure in school children. The result is a classic study on the subject of geopathic stress and it is full of simple, helpful advice. For instance - Bachler implores "I have an urgent request to all my readers whenever you hear of a baby who cries all the time, suggest to the parents a change of place of the basket, cradle or crib, for better or worse. Or have a dog select the best place for the child." Bachler found that the general result of spending long periods in zones of geopathic stress was that they tend to weaken one's resistance to illness. (My students and I) "came to the same conclusion that chronically and severely ill people almost always (95% of the time) have their sleeping or working places in areas dominated by water currents and the Curry grid. Often these two factors are combined." Moving the bed is given as the first line of defence. Sometimes this can be difficult, although Bachler gives us a tip - that a bed might be put on wheels, to be moved to a more favourable spot each night for sleeping. "A dowser should never leave the job until a good place is found for sleep" she says. After changing a bed location Bachler and her students have seen improvements ranging from slow to instantaneous and, in worst cases, with no obvious improvement, but without a worsening of symptoms. Sometimes the sudden changed conditions can trigger a healing crisis and it might be better to return the bed back to the bad spot and move it slowly away, some 20cm daily, she suggests. Bachler lists 10 indicators of sleeping in
a geopathic zone: As for school children affected by geopathic stress, she says these are often the slow learning kids, who may be lazy, forgetful, restless, moody, bed wetting, hostile, aggressive, or asocial and constantly missing school from ill health. They may have to repeat a grade. When their desk is affected by a stress zone they may be incapable of doing homework there. If it's at their school desk they will hate going to school, and may get stomach aches, fainting and vomiting, and will often be staring out the window. Bachler found that 95% of failed examinations were due to the presence of zones of disturbance. When the geopathic stress is in a classroom a 'rotating classroom' can be adopted - where seating positions are changed regularly. After beds in geopathic stress zones are moved children often have an instant improvement in sleep and appetite and have increased health and wellbeing, better attention spans and interest in learning, improved thinking and memory and ultimately improved school performance generally, she finds. I highly recommend all dowsers to invest in
a copy of this important book..
Book Review: Author Nuala Eisling, of The Burren School of Homoeopathy in western Ireland, has published this booklet of her work in proving some new homoeopathic remedies made from local stones. (This entails testing the remedies for the symptoms experienced by the healthy volunteers taking them.) Her insights are fascinating and read like a mystic journey. Ms Eisling wanted to try out a remedy made from granite after having two curious dreams. In the first - a series of captioned vignettes portrayed the people of Connemara county as introverted, incestuous, more prone to cancers and Downs Syndrome, plus taller than the average Irish people. 'What did they have in common?' came the written question, then its answer 'Granite'. In the second dream she sees a white dot in the sky which she knows is granite as a homoeopathic remedy. As white lace it moves through the atmosphere, taking on bird and butterfly forms, till it eventually drops to the ground in front of her. Looking down at it it appears as a dead white dove, which ,she realises, has just cleared all the air of radioactivity. Eisling discovers that all the information in the first dream was true, and that Connemara granite has one of the highest rates of radioactivity in Britain or Ireland, the pink variety being particularly high. She acquired a sample, from a valley specified in the dream, that was analysed as 40% quartz Fifteeen people then did a homoeopathic proving on it, which was hard work at timesbut they felt very much better at the end than when they had started and they were mostly glad they'd done it. Next came a real life therapeutic challenge where granite was used with great success, as well as a remedy made from marble. Twelve children were visiting for 6 months from Belarus, where they had suffered irradiation from the Chernobyl accident, located some 40 km away. They were in Ireland to enjoy lots of clean, fresh food and homeopathic treatment. The children were all very sad, with a great sense of resignation. They had pale, translucent skin, and a great fear of being touched. They often suffered delusions and feafulness, and they were basically very cold - emotionally and physically, as well as self centred, haughty, and sometimes even deceitful and spiteful. She firstly prescribed granite, on the basis of their fear that something terrible was going to happen, their sense of invasion, their fear of people, of touch, and their haughtiness. After a 30C dose there was a very good response, with the children much happier, less fearful, more 'huggy' and with more energy. But still they were emotionally cold, so after a dream in which she was told that it was time for some marble to be used, Eisling gave them this new remedy experimentally. Its pale translucence and coldness matched them perfectly. By the time they had left, after six months of care, all the children were healthy, energetic, loving and caring individuals.
