Editorial

Welcome to the spring 2003 edition of Geomantica.

Here, once again, is another great edition with more wonderful articles and snippets to enliven hearts and minds.

This issue has had to be brought out very early, as I am away in August/September, and that also means that the office will be closed for that time, although I will be occasionally checking emails on the road.

Be aware that if you wish - you can be put on the Geomantica email list for news of upcoming magazines, workshops that might ocasionally be held in your region, or new books or films that are out. That equates to no more than about half a dozen small newsbriefs each year. Just tell us what region or country you live in, to be put in the right list. But best to wait until my return home on Sept. 15th to do this.

Until next quarter

Letters:

Kevin Heitman on Geopathic Stress

West Australian wheat farmer and dowser extraordinaire Kevin Heitman has kindly passed on his fascinating insights about geopathic stress to Geomantica via some email correspondence. Note that his use of the term 'ley line' is very different to your average definition of it. For every dowser a different use of this term, it sometimes seems to me. Editor.

Dear Alanna
I have made contact with Rolf Gordon in the UK.
He has a great handle on dowsing.
This is a copy of a letter I have sent him:

Subject: Healing at its best

Dear Rolf I would like to know how you make your Geopathic Stress neutraliser

I am currently developing one. It is a three foot plastic two inch pvc pipe. I put it in my lathe and have wound winding wire on to three foot of pipe that has been filled in the centre with very magnetic rock. I then plugged the wire into the Earth power point and stood the pipe up on a sheet of aluminium. A bit like a Power Tower, not over the field, but rather right in the middle of the Earth's grid. It seems to have had a very soothing affect even on my dogs.

I have been in the past working with a naturopath Laurie Shortland and Sun Medical in Perth . One of our researches involved placing a hoop of copper tubing over my head and resting it on my shoulders. Water diviners could not divine for 150 yards around me. The resonance that this caused amazed every one. If you stand in the middle of the hoop the same resonance takes place.

Sensing geopathic energies

I have been setting up new building sites. In some cases the fields vanish once the house has been built. When the hand held rod turns over a 'ley line' - which is the edge of an under ground stream, put a mark between your two big toes using talcum powder. Step back, place your hand horizontally over the field and wait a few seconds ,you will then feel the Earth's radiation on the palm of your hand. This radiation is the cause of melanomas.

Try standing on one leg, then kick one leg into the field and watch the rod turn in your hand. The same goes if you put your hand in the field and the rod turns in the other hand. That's how you can mark out the tight spots inside a room.

The other thing that I can do is see the fields. This is very handy and I water divine from my motor glider this way. The most interesting thing I have found over here is that some of the water diviners think they can stop the divining areas by placing pegs and wire in the ground. You can see the fields and feel them but the wire does not work. It is straight out resonance and it is still there. All you have done is turned the lights out, the power is still in the Earth.

The fields can be transmitted. Place your divining hand in to the ley line and stretch your other hand out towards another diviner give a short blast of healing power at twenty paces and you should be able to turn six diviners rods at once with their backs turned to you. I do this to convince the sceptics at agricultural shows.

Fast tracking healing

For healing, stand on the cross-over field with both feet, rub your hands together till you cannot take the pain. This sets up a healing frequency and radiates to the patient body part that needs healing. You will be amazed how powerful you can be when you burn your hands - you are setting up the healing frequency. The cells send a message to the body to heal itself.

The power of the Earths energy enhances your power ten fold. All the time you must be positive. We live on Earth and are attuned to the mean of the Earths fields. This is the average, like hot and cold water each side of the spectrum .You are going to get a violent reaction in extreme cases when there is too much field.

Geopathic stress & minerals

The body recognises the extra field as a growth spurt and it shuts down mineral uptake, like the B group, which affects your immune system. I found this to be the case when I was farming emus. The ones that were over the fields did not grow, they died from B12 deficiency, so do cancer victims.

Geopathic zones & animals & cancers

I believe that once your immune system is low, which can take between three to seven years, the body takes the next line of defence. It starts to cell out the parasites that the immune system can't expel and this leads to tumoring .People who sleep over cross-over streams get leukaemia lymph cancers and brain tumours The other cancers are on the single streams.

I have found that people that have cats and dogs in the house are at higher risk of picking up parasites. We all know how pussey cleans itself with its tongue and eats a moth or a mouse that harbour the parasites. The cat licks its anus then its paws then wipes the parasites all over its fur very lovingly and hops up on your pillow and shakes the parasites eggs all over your pillow. .

Cats love sleeping on fields. So does the fox. It always burrows exactly in the middle of the underground stream. When humans party on they will mark out the under ground water streams that make them feel good, and that might explain why so many of us fall to cancer by building our houses on the fields.

In Australia the Earths grids are five foot six by six foot six in Perth; in Albany they are five foot by five foot six; in Darwin they are thirty foot east and six foot west.

The other thing about getting a cancer cure is the beds that have all their springs joined and have ten thousand foot of wire in them. Now if you give this some serious thought that is a lot of emf collecting power so I invented earth straps to clamp on the wire in the bed and a earth strap to put on peoples legs while they sleep.

Problems with static

If you are to lift the immune system you will find most cancer sufferers have very high body electricity They should get rid of the rubber sole shoes and use leather. Another technique is to use Earth bands inside the shoe, with a connection to the outside heal which has contact with the Earth. You can also place very light chain on your ankles so that while you work on your computer you can earth out on to a sheet of aluminium, which itself is earthed.

When you shift the bed it must be placed in between the Earths grids. We in Australia earth our cars out because on long trips the high static makes you very sleepy and prone to sunlight flashing from the vegetation on the road verge. When you walk through the under ground stream fields the effect is that it wipes your memory. When you go back through it gives it back to you .If you have high static in your car and sunlight flashing from the trees and a sequence of fields the right distance apart you then become a accident waiting to happen.

Lightning strikes

Another observation concerns lightning strike. It always strikes in the middle of the dowsing zone measured with tape measure you will find this to be the case. The cause is the imbalance of electrons in the clouds. When the balance takes place it cuts off the Earth's fields and when they re-form there is a flow of electrons from the cloud to the ground and from the ground to the cloud. This is the same as the collapse of a magnet, thus the flash and the bang.

If you look at a satellite movie of the Earth's atmosphere you will see how the Earths grids join the Earth up with the systematic flashes of lightning from one side of the Earth to the other .So even the very atoms that make up our bodies have their own fields.

Dear Alanna,

Thank you for the email, we certainly have a lot of work to do in convincing our doctors that there is more to do with living on Earth than just pouring poisons down our necks to counteract some of the ailments that the human race suffers with. The greatest problem facing the medical profession is there is no money in the cure of geopathic stress when it is just a matter of shifting your bed and your working area off the field. I have built my own version of your power tower Harmoniser.

The ley line has a strong correlation with hip replacement and the degeneration of the back bones. Also I have observed that where accident victims have had hip bone jell replacement in their gums where their jaw bone has been broken away from their jaw and their bone has been dissolved through rejection.

When you shift them away from the under ground stream, replace the bed with the ten thousand foot of wire in it with a Malaysian rubber mattress and use earth straps tied to their feet to earth them out. Then you get the perfect cure, no rejection. The doctors should give that a go in heart transplants. The reason this debilitates the immune systems is that excessive static electricity acts like a growth spurt to the body and it shuts down the B12 mineral uptake, which then affects your immune system.

That's why you should consider earthing your body out, your stomach makes electricity when your digestion takes place that is why when you have extended time in bed, often the nurses get electric shocks off the beds in hospitals and the victim gets bed sores from poor circulation through the bed having high static electricity in it.

We came across this phenomena when I was trialling electricity using radio gram speaker wires. This is about a hundred volts and you can control the power output by the volume control. To get rid of the flue virus you attach each wire to a sheet of alfoil, you stand on one and hold the other in your hands, then you turn the volume up until your hands are tingling for three minutes. Then have a break of six minutes, then another two minutes with power. I noticed a definite blueing of the hands - lack of circulation - caused by the electricity. Any way I found that this will get rid of the flu, but not the common cold.

Cheers for now
Kind regards Kevin

Frank Moody: The 'Feng Shui Man of North Qld' Turns 100!

Below is a news clipping from a local newspaper ('The Holloways Habit') about Frank Moody, who has been featured in past Geomanticas. Frank is known internationally for his dowsing and radionic work and research, and has been sharing his insights at British Society of Dowsers and other meetings for many a year. He lives at Holloways Beach, near Cairns, in far north Queensland.

"Frank celebrates 100 years of a very full life on 22nd April, 200; he has the type of disposition that everyone would like to have at his age. He is alert, jovial and still enjoys a beer or two at the Holloways Beach Football Club with his friends. Although he jokes and laughs about receiving a singing birthday card from Her Majesty, he's looking forwards to the letter from the Queen.

Frank moved to Cairns in 1926 from Rockhamptom after being impressed with the greenery up here. He worked for Francis Ireland as an accountant before becoming a pioneer of the wireless industry in the Cairns and Far North Region from his hobby activities. Frank was integral in assisting witht he establishment of the Cairns Aerial Ambulance in the 1930's. He would often travel in Tommy MacDonalds planes to outback and coastal areas to fix or install radio facilities. His business supported him for over 30 years and he befriended many important people in the Cairns community including the Ireland family and Sir Robert Norman.

Married for 49 years, his wife Ida passed away in 1979. Thereafter he travelled extensively to the UK, Europe and New Zealand. He lives today with his son John and family, and radiates over the success of his grandchildren's studies at university. But he still has travel plans for after his celebrations. While he enjoys his life now with the attitude 'You've got to keep working', he believes the Chifley and pre-decimal currency (1966, ed.) years were the best for living in Australia."

DOWSERS DOING IT FOR THE EARTH!

GEOMANTICA'S NEW VIDEO IS (ALMOST) OUT!

'Earth Care, Earth Repair
- Grassroots Initiatives in Australia'

A film by Alanna Moore.
One hour, twenty two minutes.
but not available for sale until Alanna is able buy a new, faster computer to properly edit the film.

Scientists have been painting gloom and doom scenarios for the Australian environment for too long. While they are busy writing up reports about widespread land degradation there are ordinary Australians out in the back blocks coming up with creative, intuitive, innovative and practical solutions to the many environmental crises we face.

These often unsung heroes of land care and land repair may be using unusual, paradigm-challenging methods and this, and the threat to the profits of the chemical companies, often means that we never get to hear about their environmental success stories.

Alanna Moore and Marilyn Sprague give some tree selection and planting tips in drought stricken Victoria, including Alanna's dowsing and planting methods. At that point it starts to get decidedly esoteric, with Dave Kennett in the dry wheat belt of Western Australia then showing us some of his dowsing and planting techniques and projects.

The internationally acclaimed originators of the permaculture design system, Bill Mollison and David Holmgren show us around their temperate climate gardens, spilling pearls of wisdom on the way.

Ross Henderson in Tasmania demonstrates how to test for soil requirements with the dowsing rod and Alanna Moore explains about paramagnetic rock dust to one of her dowsing classes. Pia Lindgrew tells us about the explosive growth of her olive plantation after biodynamic sprays and rock dusts etc were applied.

In the final section solutions to soil erosion and salinity are explored, starting with the excellent Keyline system of farm planning. Then we see two areas in Western Australia subject to salt scalding that have been given a new lease of life, firstly with the WISALTS system of water control (which also relies on dowsing), then with the more esoteric methods as used by the Men of the Trees and the Natural Resonance Study Groups there.

For people unfamiliar with dowsing, biodynamics etc a glossary and explanation of terms, plus full contact details for the methods or organisations shown will be provided for further enlightenment.

The film is a call for all people to consider positive approaches to their environment, and to discover backyard solutions to global problems. Alanna Moore is a great believer in the power of positive focused thought put into action.

'Renewing the Dreaming' at Stonehenge

More than 30,000 people gathered at Stonehenge to mark the summer solstice on June 21st.

English Heritage reopened the site to the public after the closures and clashes of previous years. Astrologer Roy Gillett, who was among the crowds there to watch the sunrise just before 0500 BST, said it was important to celebrate this the longest day of the year. He said druids were joined at the 5,000 year-old World Heritage site by anyone who wanted to "keep in touch with the flow of nature".

Revellers were delighted that the good weather allowed the sunrise to be seen over the ancient stones
The sight of the sun breaking through trees on the horizon over the Heel Stone was met with a loud chorus of drums, whistles, whoops and shrieks and music from samba-style bands.

Because the solstice was at a weekend many more people were able to make the pilgrimage to Wiltshire from all over the country The crowd was a mix of druids, pagans, new age travellers, nature lovers and anyone else curious to take part in the experience. Police in the neighbouring county of Hampshire had warned they would not tolerate any illegal gatherings after the solstice. Officers were out in force in the area between Basingstoke, Andover and the Wiltshire border and thwarted any attempts to hold parties.

Dr Emoto Calls for International Water Healing Day

JULY 25th 2003 Love & Peace to Water Day

Japanese Water Scientist Dr Masuru Emoto initiated a project to honour the water of our planet on July 25th. He asked that we "Gather at Oceans, Lakes, Rivers, Streams and Creeks etc to send healing energies to the water that spreads over 70% of our Planet. We, also are made up of 70% water. We offer pure prayer to water in various places of the world, wishing peace of our earth and human beings. Which water for praying is not required. Only a glass of water will do and please pray for 3 minutes at home or at work. You may pray at anytime on July 25th. The waves generated by the HADO (vibration) of our sincere prayer will wrap in this wounded planet completely. A blueprint of our planet Earth and our human society filled with Love and Thanks and without any conflicts will be formed this day."

Dr. Emoto asked us to say to water on that day:

I Love You, Water.

I Thank You, Water.

I Respect You, Water.

Dr Emoto will be at Lake Tiberias aka Sea of Galilee in Israel on July 24th, 25th.

He will hold ceremonies and conduct a Symposium on Water and Human Consciousness.
He is also speaking in Melbourne on August 1st.

The Toronto Dowsers are concentrating on Lake Ontario, one of the
Great Lakes bordering Canada and the United States. Other lakes
and waterways in the same region will be also included in July 25
work. Anyone living in that area, please contact Marilyn Gang,

Gariwerd Gathering

About 2000 people gathered from far and wide to attend a gathering of indigenous elders and others held on June 21-22nd at the fabulous Brambuk Aboriginal Centre at Halls Gap, The Grampians/Gariwerd, Victoria.

Junitta Vallak reports:

World Peace and Prayer Day was founded in 1996 by Chief (Dr ) Arvol Looking
Horse, Spiritual Leader of the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota Nations
(collectively known as the Great Sioux Nation).

Along with thousands of concerned citizens of the Americas, Chief Arvol
Looking Horse began to promote this Wolakota (Lakota word for Peace) event.
This vision was then extended to the Global community and is now pursuing a
UN world proclamation declaring June 21st as 'Honouring Sacred Sites Day',
where all people join together for the healing of the Earth and all beings
to live in sustainable harmony and peace.

The international delegation that attended WPPD at Gariwerd included peace
leaders, cultural representatives, multi-faith dignitaries and
representatives of social and environmental causes.

This was the 8th WPPD and the theme was "Coming Home", it was directed at
Youth in Culture and the Arts and was synchronised with other gatherings at
local Sacred Sites around the world.

There was no charge for this event and the crowd of over 2000 attended
Traditional Ceremonies and Prayer from Indigenous Elders, Cultural Leaders
and Representatives.A sacred fire was lit on the plateau flanked on eirther
side by spectacular Ranges above Gariwerd after a March from Lake Bellfield
on the first day led by Chief Arvol. The fire was located in the center of a
huge Medicine Wheel marked out with stones and showing the four directions.
Everyone except the Elders stayed outside the circle.

At the end of the first round of ceremonies, everyone queued up clockwise
outside the circle and entered through the east gate to make an offering and
say prayers at the sacred fire. They then exited through the west gate.
It was very cold and wet the first day but things proceeded regardless. As
Elders spoke, flocks of white Cockatoos flew overhead, usually at most
appropriate moments. As the weather improved, rainbows arched over our heads
and the sky became blue with sunny breaks.

By the last day, people were shedding clothes as they watched Tony Ghost
Hawk dance and listened to Blue Feather and other Elders speak. There were
many profound moments and much wisdom shared.

There were many cultural performances including music, dance, story telling
and songs and there were also many speakers from a variety of cultural
backgrounds including Aboriginal people from all over Australia, Maori
people and Native Americans.

Chief Arvol Looking Horse is the 19th Generation Keeper of the Sacred White
Buffalo Calf Pipe Bundle. He says "We are now in a time of prophecy, when
Animal Nations would stand upon Mother Earth a different colour than their
natural being and be born white. They are speaking to us with the only voice
that can be heard. These messages are of a blessing and yet of a great
warning. It is a time of great urgency to unite for Peace and Harmony upon
Mother Earth in order for our future generations to survive. Mother Earth is
not a resource, but rather a source of life itself."

The next WPPD will be held on June 21st in Japan 2004. the Hoop will join in
2005 when the 10th and final one will be held back in the United
States.www.wolakota.org or www.worldpeaceandprayerday.org for more details.

An Alternative Theory on Precession.
Evidence our Sun may be part of a long cycle binary star system.
Precession of the Equinox.

Part of a paper by Walter Cruttenden and Vince Dayes 2003. vince@cruttendenpartners.com

(Reproduced with kind permisiion of the authors and submitted by Billy Arnold).

A recent study of the phenomenon known as "Precession of the Equinox" has led researchers to question the extent of lunisolar causation of precession and to propose an alternative solar system model that better fits observed data, and solves a number of current solar system anomalies.

The current model of precession was theorized before there was any knowledge of the life cycle of stars, or awareness that some stars are non-visible and could thereby exert unseen gravitational influence. The standard model was developed before knowledge of binary star prevalence or any understanding of binary star motions. Indeed the idea of a single sun with lunisolar wobble causing precession was originally developed at a time when the Sun had only recently replaced the Earth as the center of the solar system and the Sun was thought to be fixed in space. Consequently, any theory to explain the observed phenomenon of precession of the equinox had to be based solely on movement of the Earth. Although it has stood for almost 500 years with only minor changes, it fails to answer a number of well-documented solar system anomalies:

Angular Momentum: Why is there an anomalous distribution of angular momentum in the solar system -- why do the Jovian planets have most of the angular momentum when the Sun has most of the mass?
Sheer Edge: Why, just beyond the Kuiper Belt, does our solar system seem to have an unusual sheer edge to it? This is surprising for a single sun system.
Sidereal vs. Solar Time : Why is the time difference between a sidereal and solar day attributed to the curvature of the Earth's orbit around the Sun, but the time difference between a sidereal "year" and solar "year" is attributed to precession?
Comet Paths: Why are many comet paths concentrated in a non-random pattern?
Acceleration of Rate of Precession: Why has the annual precession rate increased over the last 100 years? What would cause it to slow down or speed up?
Equinoctial Slippage: Lunisolar precession theory would cause the seasons to shift were it not for a concurrent slippage of the equinoctial point around the Earth's orbit path (ecliptic). Lunar cycle equations contradict this motion. Why can't it be explained with the current precessional theory?

We would like to propose a new model, based on a binary system, which provides a single and greatly simplified solution to all these questions.

Introduction
Precession of the Equinox is the observed phenomenon whereby the equinoctial point moves backward through the constellations of the Zodiac at the rate of approximately 50 arc seconds annually.

In examining the mechanics of the motion of precession, one notices:

The North Celestial Pole on its 23.45 degree incline slowly traces a large circle in the sky, pointing to different northern pole stars over thousands of years
An observer on Earth, at the point of equinox, changes his orientation to inertial space at the current rate of about 50.29 arc seconds annually. At this rate the entire precession cycle time required to traverse all twelve constellations of the ancient Zodiac, is 25,770 years, although evidence indicates it is declining.

Some years ago it was observed that if the Earth's axis did wobble due to lunisolar forces it would slowly change the seasons within the calendar. For example, in the Northern Hemisphere it would eventually become winter in July and August, and in the Southern Hemisphere it would eventually be winter in December and January.

The authors of this paper would like to put forth a new model that more simply explains precession and current solar system mechanics. In the new model, Sun curves through space. This motion of the Sun causes an apparent wobble to an observer on Earth, thus producing a precession of the equinox without creating any seasonal shifting issues, and without requiring any movement of the equinoctial points on the Earth's orbit path, or new interpretations of equinoctial years, thereby allowing the equinoctial year to which we adjust UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) to reflect a 360 degree motion of the earth around the Sun.

New Solar System Model
According to Newtonian physics the only force that could cause the Sun to display such a curve would be another large mass to which the Sun is gravitationally bound, which is by definition a binary star system. In this model, the Copernican Third Motion of the Earth would be caused primarily by the Sun's curved path in a binary orbit, rather than by lunisolar forces.

Visually, the new model is one of a rotating object (the Earth) in an almost circular orbit around a second object (the Sun), which in turn is in an elliptical orbit around a third object - the binary center of mass of the Sun and a Companion Star. If the Earth's orbit and the Sun's orbit are given, then the equations of classical mechanics predict that the axis of rotation of the first rotating object (the Earth) will precess (relative to inertial space) at a rate dictated by the Sun's path around its binary center of mass. To an observer on Earth the first object's axis will appear to precess by 360 degrees in the same amount of time it takes the second object to undergo a complete orbit around the third object, independent of the masses and distances involved.

In this model the Earth's axis does not really wobble, or change relative to the Sun, but it produces the same observable, now attributed to lunisolar precession --- a precession of the equinox. From this we conclude that acceleration (and eventual deceleration) of the rate of precession will depend on the eccentricity of the binary orbit.

From Kepler's Third Law, we know that all orbits are elliptical and objects leaving apoapsis accelerate to periapsis and then decelerate leaving periapsis. Consequently, we now have an explanation for why the precession rate is accelerating, and we also have a logical reason for why the rate cannot be extrapolated ad infinitum . Indeed, the most significant clue that precession represents a binary orbit is its presently universally recognized, but until now, unexplained acceleration.

Beyond explaining why precession now seems to accelerate, a binary star model also better explains other observed phenomena. For example, it explains the unusual distribution of angular momentum, a fact that has long perplexed scientists developing solar system formation theories

In a binary model the Sun's angular momentum is not just in it's spin axis but also in its movement through space. The binary model might also help explain the non-random path of certain long-cycle comets, without requiring the existence of a tenth planet or huge quantities of dark matter within the solar system. Also, recent findings that our solar system has a sheer edge is now readily explainable, indeed expected in a binary system.

In this paper we argue that the following statements are consistent with observed data:

Our Sun is probably part of a binary system, gravitationally bound to another star, likely a dark companion, which is estimated to be 1000 to 4,000 A.U. distant. The entire solar system is curving through space at the rate of about 50 arc seconds per year.
The Sun's path currently curves at about 50.29 arc seconds per year (one degree every 71.5 years) around its apparent binary center of mass, and the Sun is now accelerating, at the approximate rate of 0.000349 arc seconds per year.
The apparent binary orbit plane is expected to be the same as, or within a few degrees of, the invariable plane, the angular momentum plane of the solar system.
The Earth's changing orientation to inertial space as required by a binary orbit of our Sun, can be seen as Precession of the Equinox. This fact has been masked by the lunisolar explanation of precession.
The current apparent binary orbit speed is one cycle every 25,770 years, but due to acceleration (as we move away from apoapsis), is expected to average approximately 24,000 years per complete orbit.
Models based on Kepler's Law for elliptical orbits appear to predict the changing precession rate better than current wobble theory.
The third motion of Earth wobble does exist as an observable phenomenon, but not as axial movement relative to the Sun. Independent axial movement is probably limited to nutational nodding and Chandler wobble.

If the difference between a sidereal day and a solar day is compensation for the curvature of an orbit (per textbooks), so too is the delta of a sidereal year verses a solar year compensation for the hypothesized orbital motion of our solar system. The former is the orbit of the Earth around the Sun, the latter, the Sun around its binary center of mass. Just as the Earth's delta between a sidereal day and a solar day times the Earth's orbital period is equivalent to the daily rate of change around the Sun (4 minutes x 365 = 1 day), so too should the Earth's delta between a sidereal year and a solar year times the Sun's orbital period be equal to the annual rate of change around its apparent binary center of mass (20 minutes x 25,770 years = 1 year).

A simple way to produce all the same observables as lunisolar precession theory - a precessing equinox and changing pole star without any motions that are unexplained by classical mechanics - is a Sun curving through space in a binary system. In this model, planets gravitationally bound to stars curving through space, experience a changing orientation to inertial space, commensurate with the stars rate of motion, unless offset or exaggerated by other local forces.

Kepler's Proposed Binary Model
Kepler's law for circular orbits for the proposed system: N2 * D 3 = G * (M sun + M companion)
where N = 2 / T, G is the gravitational constant (= 6.672 * 10 -11 m3 kg-1 sec-2), T is the period of revolution in seconds, D is the average distance between Sun and companion in meters, M sun = 1.9891 * 10 30 kg. If M companion = 0.08 M sun then D = 0.01344 light years or 853.8 A.U; if M companion = 6 M sun then D = 0.02384 light years or 1514.6 A.U. Note that these represent average distances. At the furthermost point in their orbits (apoapsis), they may be much further apart, depending on the eccentricity of their elliptical orbits, perhaps by a factor of as much as 20 times the average distance, based on observed data of other binary star systems. Also note that relative velocity of a celestial body is slowest at its apoapsis, and fastest at its periapsis (point closest to its focus). Thus with an average period of 24,000 years, the measured relative velocity at apoapsis may correspond to 26,000 years and to 23,000 years or less at periapsis.

Summary
Since the majority of stars form in multiple system relationships, it is not unlikely that our Sun is also in a binary or multiple system relationship. The angular momentum distribution of our solar system is a problem that has frustrated attempts at developing a reasonable theory of how the solar system developed. This problem disappears using a binary model as the Sun's angular momentum is now proportional to its mass, along with the planets. The gravitational effect of a binary companion could easily cause a non-random distribution of long-range comets.

In a single sun system, an abrupt edge like the one just beyond our Kuiper Belt would not be expected. In a binary system a sheer edge would be normal and expected. The current model of precession (spinning top slowing down) would mean a very different value of precession 100,000 years ago. In a binary relationship model, precession 100,000 years ago would be about the same as today because it would be cyclical. This is in keeping with the accepted Milankovitch Precession Cycle.

The binary system is a better model for explaining the mechanics of our solar system and the motions of the Earth. Unlike lunisolar theory the new model does not require concurrent slippage of the equinoctial point in order make precession work.

An equinoctial year, tropical year and solar year all represent a 360 degree motion of the Earth around the Sun
The equinox occurs at the same place in the Earth's orbit path each year (relative to the Sun)
The ecliptic plane and celestial equator are fixed at the point of the equinox
Our calendar year represents a complete orbit of the Earth around the Sun.

The binary model does not require complex equations to predict precession:
The Earth's changing orientation to inertial space is only minimally affected by planets, tides, geo-physical movements, asteroids, etc. The principal source of movement is caused by the binary motion and the Sun curving through space, slowly changing the Earth's orientation.
Precession's annual increase is attributed primarily to the increasing angular velocity (curved motion) of the Sun's elliptical orbit around its binary.
Precession rate waxes and wanes with the elliptical orbit of our Sun around its binary center of mass. In this model precession is cyclical and the current accelerating precession trend, expected in elliptical orbit, is now understandable.

The new model does not require one cause to be given to explain the difference between a solar and sidereal day (orbital curvature) and another cause, a completely different principal, to be given to explain the difference between a solar and sidereal year:

The sidereal year is 360 degrees plus precession due to the Sun's motion
The sidereal year realigns with the same stars of a year ago, 20 minutes later than an equinoctial year (50.29 arc seconds), only because the solar system has curved through space by 50.29 arc seconds, along it's binary orbit.
Just like the delta between a sidereal day and a solar day, the delta between a sidereal year and solar year is also due to curvature of an orbit. The day delta is due to curvature of the Earth around the Sun. The year delta is due to curvature of the Sun around its binary center of mass.

It is our conclusion that the binary model is a simpler, more logical model for explaining the mechanics of our solar system and the motions of the Earth.

The First Motion of the Earth is its daily rotation about its axis. The Second Motion is the yearly revolution of the earth around the sun. The Third Motion of the Earth is the apparent "wobble". An extension of the earth's rotation axis out into space traces a circle that takes around 24,000 years to complete (current astronomers believe it takes 25,770 years to complete). Another way of saying this is that the earth's axis does a 360-degree retrograde motion around the perpendicular to the ecliptic.

The issue is whether luni-solar forces cause all or most of the Third Motion observable (an approximate 50 arc second annual change in the earth's orientation), or if the cause is primarily due to our solar system revolving around the center of mass between our solar system and a binary companion star.

Below is part of an email with a few questions I sent to Vince Dayes at the Binary Research Institute

"Vincent - can you tell me 1. what direction such a companion star might be? Also can you tell me 2.that if the solar system is drifting near the speed of sound around the center of the galaxy in the 220 million year orbit, and if our galaxy is drifting with the local group, are those orbits accomodated in the binary equation? 3. Does solar system orbit of the galaxy account for any earth wobbles? 4. In your paper Evidence our Sun may be part of a long cycle binary system you mention the "entire solar system is curving through space at the rate of about 50 arc seconds per year". Does this rate relate to solar system orbit in the galaxy or to a companion star or both?"

Here is his reply

"G'day Billy,
Just looked at the e-mail you sent last month. I am temporarily back with BRI after a three month hiatus. Thanks for your kind comments.

Let me see if can answer some of your questions. 1) Personally, I believe the companion star is located toward the center of the galaxy, (Sagittarius) which makes it difficult to detect. 2) The binary orbit speed is much greater than the solar system's drift around the galactic center. 3) We do not believe that solar system orbit around the galactic center accounts for any significant of the earth's wobble. We did consider this and made inquiries to NASA's VLBI Group and JPL and their response was that "any motion relative to inertial space is considered to be so small that it would only end up as noise in the precession calculation". 4) The curving through space at 50 arc seconds per year is the solar system moving relative to the companion star - not relative to the galaxy. At the galactic level, we are making tiny circles (actually ellipses) while we make one great orbit around the galactic center.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your interest. I wish you success in your search through the mysteries of Life.

Sincerely,
Vince Dayes

Landscape
Temples

by Junitta Vallak, Victoria.

(Reproduced from Geomantica no. 6, December 1999.)

To be conscious of natures landscape temples requires an awareness of the totality of the landscape and the ability to be able to tune your eye and body to the patterns and invisible energies which surround us.

Knowledge of sacred geometry, dowsing ability and awareness of ley lines are definite advantages. It also helps if you can refer to maps of special areas and when you are flying, keep your eyes peeled. Conscious astral travelling and lucid dreaming are two other methods of locating these hidden natural temples.

Tower Hill, near Warnambool in southwest Victoria, is a landscape temple formed by the dynamic forces of nature. Tower Hill is a volcano which last erupted six or seven thousand years ago. It is one in a line of over 30 volcanoes which stretch from Colac in Victoria to Mt Gambier in South Australia.

Tower Hill formed over 25,000 years ago when hot rising basaltic magma came into contact with the subterranean water table. The violent explosion that followed created the funnel-shaped crater which was later filled by the lake, creating the present day islands.

A wide crater was formed by the eruption. Volcanic scoria and ash was deposited along with the fragments of the underlying limestone and calcareous clay, the latter sometimes being ground down to a white dust. All these materials formed regular layers around the crater rim, creating the volcanic landform known as a "tuff ring". The nature of the eruption changed and this led to the growth of numerous small cones within the main crater.

When I saw these cones, I was reminded of Haleakala Crater on Maui which also has cones within the volcano's rim. Haleakala is much bigger, but a similar energy prevails in both places. Like Haleakala, the cones at Tower Hill are miniature volcanoes as some have their own small craters..

I was struck by the similarity to Glastonbury Tor, as I climbed the cone which has a crater called Yatt Mirng or White Eye. The local Koroitgundidj Aboriginal people named it Yatt Mirng probably because the light coloured reed bed surrounding the darker water looked like an eye in the almond-shaped crater floor. Nowadays a nearby tree looks like a pupil and surrounding vegetation looks like eye lashes.

The highest point of the cone has a very feminine feel and looks like a breast. It even had a large rock protruding from it on the top just like a nipple. As I walked around the rim I felt a very powerful magnetic pull and almost toppled over the edge of the rim of this miniature crater. Immediately I had begun to 'tune in' and was alerted to the fact that this was no ordinary place.

I suddenly realized I was looking at a mandorla, the almond shaped inner space of the vesica pisces symbol. Mandorla means almond in Italian. Two mandalas form a mandorla so when I consulted a map of the whole area, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Landscape Temple emerge within the vesica piscis.

The effect of white settlement on Tower Hill was disaterous. Deforestation, the introduction of rabbits and hard hoofed animals stripped bare the heavily timbered volcanic cones within twenty years. Today the whole area is preserved and a restoration program is helping to bring the area gradually back to its original appearance, as the French explorers in the ship the Geographe saw it in 1802.

Knowledge of the spiritual practises of the Koroitgundidj have been lost to our present consciousness, but from the relics found in the volcanic ash layers we know that the Tribe were living in the area at the time of the eruption. Only their spirits remain and for those who can tap into this dimension, much knowledge is waiting to be retrieved. Using psychometry as a method is also another way to tap into the interesting past of the area.

When I first saw the wonderful Natural History Centre, it was obvious that the architect, Robin Boyd, was very conscious of the landscape. He has echoed the shape of the cones and the flow of the landscape in the building. I don't believe that it is an accident that this stunning structure is almost right in the centre of the large mandorla. Feng shui principles were obviously applied within the building and its location. I suspect that many natural landscape temples lie undiscovered in this and other volcanic areas. Secrets of the past are waiting to be revealed in these powerful places and I believe that their natural healing energies can be used for personal and planetary healing work.

When the amazing photos of the face, pyramids, Tholus and crater on Mars were published, some fascinating correlations were revealed. It seems that there are similar geographic similarities with Avebury, Silbury Hill and one of the crop circle glyphs. Landscape temples, natural and artificial, are probably not restricted only to our own Planet. The solar system and worlds beyond are waiting for us to reconnect. Is this the way back?

An Earth Mystery in South Australia
the Shrine of our Lady of Yankalilla.

by Alanna Moore

Readers of European geomantic literature will no doubt be familiar with the idea of churches being located over Earth energy centres and flows; and that they were built at locations contiguous with an earlier spiritual heritage. No such connection exists between the places of worship in Australia and such mind altering energies, unless you're talking about Aboriginal peoples' sites. Well, not usually, anyhow.

But at a little town in South Australia there has proved an exception to this rule. The church in focus is Christ Church, in the Anglican parish of Yankalilla. I travelled through the region in late 2001 and, having been told it was a 'must visit' for a dowser/geomancer, made a beeline there.

Thanks to a range of phenomena ('miracles') manifesting in recent years, this church had become a centre for pilgrims who travel here from all over Australia and the world. Images of Mary and baby Jesus have been appearing on the plaster of one of the walls. And the diocesan Bishop has declared the church a Marion shrine.

This story of the history of the miraculous at Yankalilla is best told by the parish priest Father Andrew Notere.

"Yankalilla is a small community just an hours drive south of Adelaide, where Mother Mary MacKillop established one of her early schools. That was in the year 1867. Now Yankalilla is the centre of a growing resort and retirement community, and, of course, Mary MacKillop is on her way to becoming Australia's first saint."Notere says in some of the literature available at the church.

"Lourdes, Fatima. Medjugorje, Guadalupe, and now Yankalilla. Is Yankalilla the Guadalupe of Australia? Our Lady in Guadalupe chose to appear to a peasant Indian in a land that had just been colonised by conquistadors from the Christian culture of Europe."

An Aboriginal site

"In Yankalilla, the land on which the church stands was once thought to be a corroboree site. According to legend there was a terrible massacre of Aboriginal babies on this site sometime in the last century before the church was built (1857). The Apparition of Our Lady of Yankalilla may well be calling us to the need for reconciliation between the original peoples of this country and today's European descendants" says Notere.

The apparition in the plaster on the wall has reportedly shown Mary with dark skin and, at one time, an Aboriginal man's face, looking over her shoulder.

Notere continues " The Apparition itself may be seen upon entering the church from the west door. Its clarity surprises many of our visitors who come here with low expectations of seeing the holy image. The clearest part of the Apparition is the face of Mary. Her features, her eyes, nose and mouth are uncannily clear and lead to the conclusion that this is indeed an 'icon not made with human hands'. "

"The Mother and Child are now enclosed within a metal frame high up on the east wall behind the altar. Mary is crouched in adoration, her head bent in that familiar Marian way. So suggestive of maternity and compassion. That Our Lady has chosen to appear at this exact position in the church is not without significance, for immediately below her is the tabernacle containing the consecrated bread which is the very body of her son."

When Billy Arnold and I visited we could see no image. The church was empty and felt perhaps a little sad for it. The photo I took shows the metal frame on the wall, inside of which was just a mouldy area, while the rest of the walls had been freshly painted. It would appear that the image of Mary and Jesus had been growing in the mould. Perhaps the new paint fumes proved toxic to the mould within the frame and killed off the medium of the miraculous?

History of the miracles

"The image of Our Lady was first noticed on August 24, 1994, by one of our parishioners" Notere goes on. "At that time it was possible to see the Apparition only from the first two or three pews on the right side of the nave. The diocesan Bishop was invited to view the image on the wall. He is the patron of a number of Anglican Marian societies, and thus is well placed to guide us in our present work here in Yankalilla.

"The Bishops visit to Christ Church confirmed our own feelings that the image of Our Lady on the wall in front of us could well be an authentic sign from God. But was the image merely a fluke, a result of salt damp or poor plastering? If so, would it continue to evolve into a meaningless jumble of bumps and glips high up on the wall, leaving us below with a lot of explaining to do?"

"Since that time the Apparition has been continuing to evolve, becoming clearer and more defined as if an artist were in the process of completing a sketch in a small country church Photographs taken of the Apparition over the past year reveal an evolving image, surpassing now the limits originally prescribed by the metal frame. The best evidence of this is to be found at the bottom of the image, laying at Mary's feet. It is not difficult for even the most sceptical visitor to see there the representation of a rose, complete with curled petals, a leaf, and a stem coming from the direction of the frame. This rose, Mary's signature, was first noticed after the church began hosting pilgrims in July 1996."

"Other photographs taken by pilgrims have unexpectedly revealed the face of Jesus, as on the Shroud of Turin, and winged angels large and small on the Apparition wall. Perhaps the most important photograph to date is the one taken in October 1996. The developed prints revealed an unusual white surface on an otherwise darkened window at the front of the church. On closer examination, the white colouring revealed a startling and inexplicable image of Jesus bearing a small baby on his shoulder. The brightest part of this image is the radiance of light coming from his Sacred Heart. The diamond shaped leadwork in the window has been completely obliterated by the image and the shadow cast over the left side of the glass has been erased by the baby's body."

Other photos have shown ghostly figures sitting in the pews and yes, there was the sense of a somewhat mystical atmosphere inside this church. It was silent and peaceful when we were there

Notere continues "In the summer of 1996 I had been asked by the Bishop to write an article for the diocesan paper. The time had at last come to share the story with a wider church. To our surprise the Adelaide Observer picked up the story and ran a feature on July 2nd 1996 (the day of the feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary). Within 24 hours all the major networks, newspapers and radio stations were covering the Yankalilla story. The church was warming with its first pilgrims. They were coming from metropolitan Adelaide, from tiny rural communities that make up South Australia, from interstate and overseas"

A legend foretold

"One of our senior parishioners recalled a talk a former Rector had given to the Ladies Guild in 1980. He had mystified the group when he stated that one day their church would be filled with pilgrims from all over Australia and beyond. Fr Rod Opie is remembered as a deeply spiritual priest, a prophet and one who suffered deeply for his faith. It has even been suggested he received the stigmata during his care of the parish. Fr Opie died shortly after resigning the parish in 1980."

"The pilgrims have been coming here every day since July 1996. Many have told us of seeing this church in their dreams over a period of many years. One lady from Adelaide claimed to have been healed of a life threatening disease in 1957, through a vision she had of a 'beautiful lady' whose presence filled a small church. Little did she know that she would at last see that church when she came with others on a bus tour in November 1996."

"Others have told us of healings large and small. Three persons close to death have been restored to health through the intercession of Our Lady of Yankalilla. Many others have been granted healings, small graces, relief from extreme pain. Others have prayed for restoration of broken relationships and many have made their way back into the Church after wandering in the wilderness for too many years."

"A number of people have moved to Yankalilla area to be near the shrine. One of these persons has been receiving interior messages from Our Lady which are being regularly recorded in a journal and shared with the Parish priest. She will be one of the founding members of our 'Oasis of Peace' community, whose work it will be to give ourselves radically to prayer and to respond to the many urgent needs of pilgrims to this place. 1."

The sceptics might laugh off the whole thing and put it down to an effective bit of publicity mongering. They may not see the same features in the images that others claim to. Perception is in the eye of the perceiver after all And they may well be amused by the fact that the Father has changed his name subtly from Andrew Nutter.

Holy energies a dowsers survey
We wandered around the entrance area looking at the literature and souvenirs on offer there. There were tiny bottles of 'holy water' on sale, collected from the near vicinity somewhere. Billy clairvoyantly perceived the presence of water spirits, but none very special. A spot of dowsing was called for.

But before I got a chance to do a dowsing survey of the church I happily discovered, with some amazement, that it had already been done and that a plan copy had been posted on the back of the entrance door!

And so I discovered that 16 streams had been dowsed as flowing beneath the church! The largest underground stream corresponded with the line of the back wall where the apparitions have been. No wonder the wall had gotten so mouldy!

There was also marked in on the plan the path of an underground stream deemed to be 'holy water'. Presumably the stream from which the water on sale was taken from.

Readers can make whatever conclusion they like from this discovery. My feeling is that it is all very consistent with the European experience of sacred space. Sacred places have tended to be high energy places in traditional societies. Places with powerful magnetic fields have been linked with visionary experiences. Spending time around water energies can potentially change our state of consciousness and encourage spiritual experience. (Just don't be sleeping over them!) Here magic and miracle is more likely to happen.

Reviving the spirits of place
Ancient pagan/animist beliefs link the presence of powerful water energies with visions of 'beautiful ladies', the guardian spirits/deities of the holy wells and water ways both above and below the ground. These have traditionally been personified as a goddess of place, and later as a saintly manifestation in Christian times. 2. For example- there are many Bridget Wells in Ireland deemed holy and sacred, first to the ancient local goddess, then Celtic goddess Brigid (a solar deity originally) and later to her Christianised self, Saint Bridget.

People have long pilgrimaged to the holy wells to give their offerings and to ask for favours and healing. The healing waters have been attributed to many curings, thus ensuring the continuity of this practise. You don't have to even drink or bathe in healing waters, sitting nearby is enough to absorb their energies. The research of Masuro Emoto shows that we can imprint energy and emotion into water, giving the old traditions some scientific credulity too.

Sacred sites sometimes find us before we find them. Like the woman who received miraculous healing through the dream of the beautiful woman whose presence filled a small church, which turned out to be the church at Yankalilla. I have also been 'approached' by sacred sites in dreams. The structure and character of a major energetic feature on my land revealed itself in dreams before I sought it out and found it recently, by dowsing.

But the church at Yankalilla is over a desecrated sacred site. I feel that the spirits of place have been calling out for a healing to take place, a clearing of the psychic wound of the massacre of the original inhabitants, of the killing of babies. The influx of pilgrims and their prayers must have had a wonderfully harmonising effect, as we both had no sense of the oppression that one might expect to feel at a desecrated site.

As for the images on the plaster, these might be attributed to the work of the devic kingdoms, who love to manifest the thought forms of the prevailing ethos as tools of communication. Nature spirits are the designers of the shapes and evolution of the life forms. Directing the growth directions of mould/fungi would no doubt be an easy task for a powerful water spirit, which may well be a guiding force present here.

Perhaps in Yankalilla we are seeing sacred space as an incubator of religious longing. As a connection point to the spirits of the Earth and her underground waters, which on the one hand would seem to present an entirely pagan situation and yet again, could be viewed as an experience over time which personifies the very essence of the evolution of Christianity.

NZ Dairy Farm Goes Radionic

© Alanna Moore. (Originally published in Acres USA.)

New Zealand , that 'Land of the Long White Cloud', may appear green and fertile, but not all its lands are lushly volcanic and there are plenty of deficient soils to challenge the farmer.

David Yates' family came to an area south of Auckland which had been settled by white farmers from around 1908. It was regarded as poor land lacking in phosphate, although the family acquired the best part they could. David's grandfather brought in Belgian slag to supply phosphate to the soil and created a sheep and beef farm. Before then it had been a seed farm for the Yates seed company.

For a long while the family was mostly running sheep and beef, but in 1977 David and his brother decided to try dairying. The farm now runs 320 Friesian cows on 155 hectares.

In these parts the annual rainfall averages nine hundred and fifty millimetres, spread throughout the year, although summers are drier.

"Because of the high rainfall they were able to get away with using superphosphate and urea here, the soil can tolerate it better" Alistair Cox and Richard Cooke, the farms radionic consultants, told me. But the days of spreading only urea and super are long over now.

The need to go organic
David started thinking organic when, in the 1980's, production trouble set in and the usual round of chemicals were starting to affect his health badly. So he took the family farm down the biodynamic path, to the scepticism of the other family trustees, for some seven years.

David's health returned and things were okay, but the farm didn't look as good as it might have done. After a trustee saw some thistles growing trouble stirred again. In 1993 the family trust forced him to stop his biodynamic regime. At this point a conventional farm adviser was called in to help. The trustees were demanding that urea be used and there was much squabbling and bad feelings amongst the family. Finally it had to be sorted out with a high court mediation and since then David has bought the farm from the trust for himself.

Discovering radionics
When I visited at the end of summer pastures were still green and luxuriant. But four years ago things weren't going so well as now, so David took a bold step in calling Alistair in to try and help. Alistair has been a radionics practitioner for some ten years and he told me what had first got him interested in radionics.

"My family owned a racehorse called David Moss who was so tall- they called him Monster Moss. He also was an amazing winner who was unique in holding the record as trotter of the year both in Australia and New Zealand. He had won 11 races, then one season he just wasn't performing at all and no-one could work out why.

"A friend suggested I send a saliva sample to a woman who does radionics, using a machine made by an Australian scientist (who helped high profile racing driver Peter Brock with his car performance-enhancing gadgets). So I sent a sample for analysis and she tested it from a distance (- she never got to see the horse) and found that Moss's hoofs had poor blood flow in the capillaries there. A magnetic treatment was recommended and we put magnets, alternating them at intervals, around the feet. Moss went on to win another 22 races and $350,000!"

Understandably Alistair was impressed and it wasn't long before the radionics practitioner became his life partner. This dramatic introduction to radionics was a totally new paradigm for Alistair, although dowsing had been in the family. His grandmother had had shown him how to dowse with a willow stick at the age of eight and the stick had twitched in his hands when she assisted him. Although she had had no understanding of the dowsing faculty she could find water, pinpoint its depth ("a little voice told her it") and the level of salinity.

Radionic coils
Four years ago the criteria that Alistair was working on was to make things work better , to reduce bills and increase production and the health of livestock. Unfamiliar with dairying, he was 'flying blind'. A farmer himself, he found the Yates property to be perfect for some experimentation. "When I read Edward Russells 'Report on Radionics' I got so inspired!" Alistair, who is now treating several dairy farms with much success, told me.

Alistair specialises in the use of agricultural coils, which are a form of radionic treatment. He found himself on this exciting path after his radionic partner and he moved to a new house. They had both got sick, so dowser Albino Gola was called in to check out environmental energies. Albino, who also didn't need to visit, was able to detect that their health problems were due to geopathic and electro-stress.

Albino made an 'aerial coil' (based on a Frank Moody coil, written about in my book 'Stone Age Farming') that was hung in the house and it changed their lives. One time afterwards their health started to suffer again, but it was easily fixed when they discovered that the cat had knocked over the coil. Alistair was so impressed that he went on to go to Albino's dowsing school and has been following this exciting path ever since.

During the Yates family conflicts Alistair found he had to radionically battle with all the 'bad vibes' bouncing around the family that were detrimentally affecting the energy of the farm. "When people are angry it is so potent" he said, adding " We've got to be careful with our thoughts!"

Brilliant spuds
As David had discovered that the soil was contaminated with traces of DDT, only a transitional status of biodynamics was possible. David started to grow potatoes using biodynamic techniques and it launched him into a whole new paradigm. "The quality was incredible. You couldn't eat ordinary potatoes after you'd tried them!" he said.

Supermarkets were selling them as organic and charging a small premium, which was a bold new direction for the sceptical buyers involved. It wasn't a huge success, but some of the customers who couldn't get them anymore from the supermarket, after the trustees put a stop to it, were banging at their door for more.

Downhill slide
After the trustees had forced a return to chemical regimes on the farm and spread potash and phosphate on pastures, milk production went downhill and the cows, not being adapted to it, got really sick. Leptospirosis, a debilitating bacterial infection that can pass between cows and humans, became prevalent. It could put you on your back for 3 to 6 weeks and the cows would sometimes abort from it. There is always a low level of in cows and you are supposed to vaccinate against it, but they hadn't bothered when they'd all been healthy.

"When you don't have micronutrients you can grow grass, but you'll still get metabolic problems" Alistair warned "This state of affairs really characterises the whole dairy industry here". He spoke about a dairy farm in Southand where $75,000 worth of urea and superphosphate was spread on 190 hectares for 320 cows and they still are not healthy.

David Yates family had a sad year or two and then struggled on for another five years or so.
In 1997American radionics man Bob Graham was over in New Zealand teaching radionics and selling 'Ag-Enviro' radionic machines designed by Galen Hieronymous. Alistair radionically broadcasted a treatment to a maize crop with the machine and there was a 16% increase in protein levels in the silage and it was the best crop seen all year by the harvester. This gave great encouragement.

Soil amendments
Although Bob had told people that you didn't need to spread fertiliser when his radionics was employed, Alistair believes that you do need to have a physical side to your soil amendment program and that radionics will enhance that. He is a great advocate for adding basalt rock dust, sea mud and lime to soils.

"We have a product here called Supreme Lime. It's an uncommon variety of soft lime that dissolves easily. I also recommend 'Probitas', a product based on a highly paramagnetic basalt rock dust, that gives great results," he said.

David had two thirds of the farm broadcast with 200kg of Probitas to the hectare during their last spring (a bit over the 175kg that's recommended). He is geared up to spread annual applications for three years, then will ease off.

Prior to the coils going in David started to use reactive phosphate rock (rpr), but it didn't have much effect. Fertiliser bills stayed high, as soil tests showed that phosphate levels were only medium, although potash was always good. Now he has found a formula that suits the soil very well and he applies a mixture of one third rpr, one third lime and one third vermicasts, as well as the Probitas.

The vermicasts are very good for the clover and now there's virtually no clover fleas (also known as lucerne fleas). The fleas can be a major pest problem and can devastate the whole farm in just a couple of weeks. When the coils went in they were programmed to deal with these pests and the problem, which was bad at the time, was soon greatly diminished.

A recent soil test has shown a pH of 6.2 and mineral levels in the medium range. There has also been a slight reduction of the ASC/phosphate retention percentage - which is good.

Return to health
Since the radionic techniques were used beneficial effects became obvious. The quality of the pasture and silage was definitely superior and milk production went up.

"I really noticed the improved health of the cows" David told me "Specifically with the calves. They had been scouring badly and Alistair treated them individually via a hair sample. Three were marginal and we weren't sure if they would live or not. Within two days after their radionic treatment they had a complete turn around.

"We saw all the cows become extra healthy. Alistair now puts specific healthpromoting frequencies into his coils to broadcast to all the cows, changing it when ever it's needed. Like the wet summer when a bit of foot rot set in and things had to be re-tuned. Almost instantly the near epidemic dropped to nothing.

"I've read that some 53% of conventionally farmed cows have bacterial infections here because they are basically unhealthy," Alistair told me.

The average New Zealand dairy farm has high vet bills with cows suffering metabolic problems and short life spans. Not only are Davids cows healthy, there are many healthy old cows. Some of Davids cows are still milking at 14-15 years age! This is unheard of in conventional systems. You wouldn't know they were so old just by looking them either.

The cows' immune systems are checked out regularly by radionic means. With conventionally farmed cows averaging 50-60%, some as low as 35%, Davids cows average 95% full immunity.

One of the cows had had an abscess on its leg for 3 years. After some homoeopathic treatment this is now just a lump healed over and causing no problem. Normally the cow would have had to be disposed of.

David's first experience of homoeopathy was with experimenting on his children. One day a farmer friend said "Use it on your cows!" So nowadays he has a handy spray bottle that can deliver a dose of homoeopathic medicine to the nose or vagina (it is absorbed through the mucous membranes). Having stocked up on about 30 remedies he now only has to use about 5% of these. David also practises energy healing in the form of Reiki.

"Fertility has also always been a battle here. Since the radionics there's been a huge improvement with that too" David said.

Improved production
In the past year milk production has been up 10% and in this current year it was 5% up on that, with 20 cows less!

David milks two herds the summer and winter herds. Another radionic dairyman Alistair knows has gained an extra months milking in autumn, when previously the cows had a high isomatic cell count and he had had to dry them out. After his coil went up there was no high cell count.

Too much grass!
Treatments weren't always up to expectations. For the first 18 months the pasture greatly improved, but over the next 18 months it didn't get much better. Alistair wonders if the American radionic rates he uses might be not quite right for the New Zealand soils. They work fine for the animals, however. Alistair had to exercise his intuition to make further pasture improvements and David said that the pasture has been phenomenal in the last 18 months, staying green and lush through a long and relatively dry summer.

One paddock I saw was predominantly chicory. Hay had been taken off in January and, still being grazed at the end of a dry summer, it was nonetheless green and thick. When he was just doing the biodynamics that paddock had been quite bare.

"Sometimes I think there's too much grass!" said David, who really notices the improved soil fertility when newly planted grass comes up so quickly and abundantly.

This year David has made lots of hay and silage so he doesn't have much need to grow extra crops and thus his workload is greatly reduced.

Other radionic successes
Alistair told me of some of his other successes, such as a kiwi fruit farm he has helped.

"I went to the aid of a kiwifruit grower who was using superphosphate and urea and going downhill fast. He had spread rock dust over half the farm, saw an improvement and did the other half. I came along in January 2002 and with radionics helped him get a 63% increase in production. He had stopped using super and urea and this year there's been a 40% increase again! Costs are down and fruit size is up too."

Another dairy farmer that Alistair consults for is using the Probitas and the radionic coils and found her pasture had a very high Brix level. She also uses another of Alistairs soil remedies called 'Elixir'! It's a homoeopathic coal solution with a dozen extra homoeopathic elements, created biodynamically, added. Elixir is sprayed at 2 litres to the hectare to stimulate soil biology.

Seeing soil toxins
Alistair related an interesting story. A market gardener client was finding 30% of his onion crop was rotting before it got to Europe. A friend, blessed with clairvoyant vision, saw a murky brown mist on the cropping ground and this was thought to be due to a high level of toxicity and low levels of vitality, which can lead to bacteria overdrive. Alistairs coils are programmed to clear these sorts of soil toxins.

In another case a farmers plums wouldn't grow in size and Alistairs dowsing said there was a problem around the roots. His clairvoyant friend took a look and saw a murky brown mist again, rising some 6-8" above the ground around the plum trees. Alistair experimented by placing a bottle of Elixir and a jar of Probitas on the ground near a tree. A half hour later the mist could no longer be seen there.

Finetuning the coils
Every agricultural coil that Alistair makes up is different, being specially tuned to its location, paddock by paddock if necessary. There are several coils within coils that are tuned to deal with soil, cow and atmospheric issues.

The first thing that Alistair works on when tuning a coil for a specific area is to programme it to clear any soil toxins present. The second consideration is to protect against airborne contaminants.

Weeds have been a big problem and radionics has a great potential here too.
"There are frequencies in the soil that foster particular weeds" he told me. "So where weeds are a problem I need to tune the coil so that that frequency is not present."

The coils are programmed to neutralise the effects of electricity and heavy metals also. They are put into position and carefully oriented according to dowsing on an earth energy flow line. The best spot has the best energy, but it also must have convenient access.

Alistairs smallest coil covers 4 acres, while his largest model is influencing over 28 kilometres. At the Yates farm a paddock that is 1.5km away from a coil seems to be benefiting, as pasture and cows are doing very well there.

Alistair has a holistic approach and admits to still only getting 75% of what is needed to know. "It's all about experimentation" he says.

"Negative energies coming in from the fifth dimension from outside can also affect things, they can override the coils, so you have to constantly monitor and install protective programming into the coils".

With constant coil adjustments and the fabulous pasture and clean production resulting- the next two years on the Yates farm will be most interesting to watch.

Obituary: Philip Simpfendorfer

Many readers will know or know of Philip, one of Australia's most well known geomancers. Steven Guth has written a tribute to his life and work.

Philip's final request to his friends was not to hold him as a memory, not
to consider this earthly part but to regard him as light body moving into
the future.

So here I am trying to sum up his life, the good and the bad, the great and
the little. It seems wrong.

The great? The critical role he played in the "Renewal of the Dreaming" -
the rebirth of Australian Aboriginal site dreaming. Others were there too;
Red, Jann, Gubbo, Joy, Robyn, myself and many more. But Philip is the one
who from the very beginning carried the impulse from Kashmir and put the
daily, continuing work into making it happen.

On http://www.kheper.net/ecognosis/Journey/index.html is a free electronic
copy of Philip's book "Journey to Earth's Dawning" with associated material.
Its all about the Renewal of the Dreaming.

The good? Custodianship of Belltrees/Glastonbell the magic 200 hectres of
land in the Blue Mountains near Sydney. The property, on the Aboriginal
walkway linking the West to Sydney is incredibly rich in aboriginal site
dreaming. Philip struggled with all aspects of keeping the sacred location
alive and well ... too many visitors, too few visitors, too little money,
too many ideas, too little water, too much water, too little firewood, too
much fire ...

The site became Philip's life and his path of initiation. He has captured
much of the magic of the place in his book, "A Dreaming" in which
photographs and his musings interlink to give the reader a meditative
insights into Philip's path. It's a jumbled path with confusing insights -
perhaps because it's real. It reminds one of the "Celestine Prophecy" and
"Mutant Message Down Under". We have made a few of the remaining copies of
the book available on http://www.kheper.net/khepershop.html The price is
high to limit demand and to help finance a possible reprinting.

Glastonbell is still there, it is now run by a group. You can visit it
electronically on http://www.hermes.net.au/glastonbell/ Or you can visit
it on foot. Perhaps when you walk amongst the gums with their leaves
shimmering in the sun you will hear the light singing, "Philip, Philip,
Philip ...

Steven Guth, July 2003.

Addenda: Some background material, an interview from winter 2002.

Philip and the Renewing of the Dreaming Movement.

by Steven Guth, 2002.

Earlier this month Philip and I spent time together here in Canberra. We
meditated, visited a few of the sites and spent hours chatting about his
book, "Journey to Earth's Dawning" written in 1983. A time that began "The
Renewal of the Dreaming" process in Australia.

First, a bit about the Renewal of the Dreaming. In 1980 the Aboriginal
Dreaming had gone underground and was fast disappearing from the Australian
scene. In the short 200 years of white intrusion aboriginal Australians had
moved from being killed, to being assimilated, to being integrated. All
processes that would rob any national group of its self-identity any
meaningful deeper relationships with its national heritage.

What is "Dreaming"? Well, it has several layers of meaning. Outermost is the
idea of history . Without a written history aboriginals tell about the
creation and formation of the landscape by describing animals and landscape
features in mystical terms.

Then there is the idea that the "Dreamtime" is the Astral world, the world
we visit when we sleep. The world of leftover emotions which people - given
the skills and the keys - can tap into.

Then there is "The Dreaming" attached to sites. Hills and other natural
features are alive with CONSCIOUSNESS, not an imagined consciousness, but a
REAL "out there" consciousness. It is a consciousness that can be gigantic,
virtually planetary in size. Many dreaming sites are places where this
consciousness, finds a home and ends up being described in human terms as
the site of a gods or goddesses. Gods and Goddesses are often beings who
weave themselves into human affairs - for good and bad - and have done so
since the birth of this planet.

To return to the story. Philip and I spoke about the Dreaming and his
involvement with getting restarted in Australia.

It all began in Bali and quickly moved to Kashmir were Philip and his two
travel companions, Red and Jann, came face-to-face with a goddess energy
that had manifested itself through Kashmir mystic Gopi Nath Ji. Gopi Nath's
body had been dead for 20 years but his consciousness (which in itself
contained the goddess energy) remained alive. It met with Philip in the area
above his head and occasionally made suggestions. Undoubtedly it accompanied
Philip and his companions on their return to Australia.

In our taped conversations Philip and I discussed how the first and the
second Gopi Nath Ji birthday celebrations - held in Blue Mountains bush land
rapidly developed into a surprising number of Renewal of the Dreaming camps
held at special sites throughout eastern Australia. Often Aboriginal people
came, participated and carried away with them the energy that Philip and his
companions brought from Kashmir. The first renewal of the dreaming camp,
which Philip describes in his book, was at Mt Dromedary above Wallaga Lake
on the South Coast of NSW. This was the start of the Renewal of the Dreaming
process in Australia - a strange gift for groups of middle class white
Australians and a scattering of New Agers to give to the Aboriginal
Australians and the Australian landscape.

Obituary: NZ's anti-EMR champion Dr Neil Cherry

An Associate Professor at New Zealands Lincoln University, former Christchurch councillor, environmentalist, researcher, activist, Dr Neil Cherry died in May 2003 from crippling motor neurone disease, at the age of 56.

Neil was a champion of a number of causes. As a physicist and meteorologist, he was an advocate of renewable energy. Internationally Neil was best known for his work on electromagnetic radiation. He reviewed large numbers of scientific studies and produced papers which showed a connection between exposures from communications and electrical systems and a range of health problems. He argued strongly for reduction of RF exposure and shared his views and his time willingly with scientists, media and the public.

For this he was rewarded with scathing attacks by vested interests who sought to undermine his credibility. His ability to persevere in the face of criticism was a mark of his courage and tenacity.
Neil was highly esteeemed by many memebers of the international EMR community. Scientists who signed the (September) 2002 Catania Resolution offered him the following tribute:

"We join together in tribute to Neil Cherry, our esteemed colleague, for his brilliant and passionate work to protect public health from non-ionizing radiation hazards over the past decade, as a scientific investigator in the field of bio-electromagnetics. Neil has made an unique contribution to the advancement of knowledge in this field by his rare abilities to synthesize the entire body of science in this field and to communicate this information to his peer scientists, to public policy decision making and to citizens alike. We resolve, on this day, which corresponds with the founding of an international association of independent scientists, to pay this tribute to Neil Cherry, and we wish him the best in this fight against his illness."

Book Reviews

Practising the Witch's Craft

real magic under a southern sky

Douglas Ezzy (and others), Allen and Unwin, 2003.
Reviewed by Alanna Moore

Rather than a practical how-to that this title might suggest, this book allows ordinary people in Australia, who have discovered that life is enchanted and that Witchcraft works for them, to speak about their ideas about and experience of the Craft. What has it got to do with geomancy, you might ask?
I'll let Yarrow, author of the chapter on 'Sacred Landscapes', explain:

"The current within Witchcraft and Paganism that concerns me here is often a hidden one and is about having a right relationship with the sacred land. This undoubtedly doesn't fire the public imagination to the same degree as visions of Witches working magic and spells, or of groups of people dancing naked around bonfires. However, within Witchcraft and Paganism, there are also those who have an ongoing intimate relationship with the land on which they live. The public face of this is the environmental and political activism of groups and traditions such as Dragon Environmental Network, Reclaiming, and others of a similar nature, which often concern them selves with civil disobedience and working magic in an effort to prevent inappropriate development of particular locations.

The more hidden face takes the form of a direct and intimate relationship with the very land itself. Many people might label this as Shamanism or Druidry rather than Witchcraft. I find these sorts of distinctions are often rather arbitrary, as many Witches freely acknowledge the Shamanic roots of their religion and practise.

Yarrow gives practical tips about relating to the sacred land, such as:
"Treating a landscape as sacred involves practical tasks that Nigel Pennick refers to in 'Celtic Sacred Landscapes' as 'spiritual gardening' Some of this involves picking up litter, removing noxious weeds, restoring damage, adding only those man-made things that are strictly necessary and in keeping with the environment, and removing those things that aren't. It also means ensuring that biodiversity is retained and helping the right species to grow. These sorts of activities can be easily undertaken on either an individual or a group basis, and many 'friends of' groups have been formed to care for particular reserves, rivers and other sites. Using and visiting a sacred site requires some form of repayment, and lugging several huge sackfuls of other peoples' rubbish a kilometre or more up a dirt track often feels like payment enough!

As for ethics: "When interacting with the landscape consciously, we need to become aware of what it is actually telling us. In neo-Paganism, people often talk of concepts such as 'asking permission' to a tree, for example, when cutting a wand. The underlying assumption seems to be that permission for our activities will inevitably be granted. Sometimes, however, it is not, and we need to become more aware of that possibility Similarly, permission to go into certain locations may not always be granted, even to someone who has been there many times before The natural world is not inherently benevolent to humans, and some landscapes seem not to particularly care to have us around"

I also liked Lesley-Caron Veater's chapter on A Witch's Garden and overall the book is a great read.

Good Things on the 'Net

* Schauberger's concepts. Find out about the advantages of using copper plated gardening tools at this website. Slugs and snails were reportedly kept at bay in the vege garden just through the use of these tools. (A copper 'collar' around a plant will also repel those slimey marauders.) It's at www.implementations.co.uk

* Rock dust: In the Natural Resonance Study Group's June 2003 Newsletter Barrie Oldfield reports about a letter from Don Weaver, co-author of 'The Survival of Civilization' who has advised Barrie that he has now written 'To Love and Regenerate the Earth'.
